You wonder when one is going to step it up and push.

Its a fairly even chessmatch, but Sergio is always going to have the edge here. Macklin needs to step it up a bit.

    Round 5

Martinez is leading with right hooks now, smacking Macklin upside the head while coming forward. Macklin is looking ineffective while moving backward, getting pushed into a corner and not getting any punches off until his back hits something tangible. Jabs by Macklin to instinctively get off the ropes, missing as Martinez scampers back with his hands down at his ankles. Right jabs and hooks by Martinez, fishing from the outside and grinning mockingly at Macklin. Big right hand leads by Macklin, putting a lot of power into them but not landing flush as Martinez darts away and catches shots on his left glove. RIGHT HAND by Macklin diving in but Martinez pops a counter left uppercut on the bottom of his jaw!! Nice exchange! Another left uppercut by Martinez as Macklin is diving in with a right. Double lead right by Macklin, and Martinez lands to the body. Big right hook, and a left hand by Martinez!! BIG EXCHANGE BEFORE THE BELL!!!!

    49-46 Martinez

Martinez is totally lulling Macklin into a false comfort. He will time him. He is far too open when he actually gets enthusiastic about coming forward to attack. Watch for the left uppercut or right hand over the top.
