    Martinez says that he kept chipping away at Macklin, and that it was like chopping down a tree, little by little he weakened him and knew he would stop him.

    Macklin feels he was winning. He says he boxed to game plan and threw off Martinez's rhythm.

    The commentators were overreacting to a fighter performing beyond expectations. Judges often do the same.
