I got stick for saying this on here before but Kessler ****ed himself up by going on holiday for more than a year when he was in his prime, due to a stupid dispute with Palle.

He missed the train as a result and there's no way to get his career back now.

I put him in the same category as Kelly Pavlik.

Yeah. I'm not sold on it either. Kessler never has had weight problems and I see no reason to go to LHW.

Just stay high on the WBO ranking and then he will be mandatory for Stieglitz next fight or the following. Better route imo.

Great to hear you are well :good

I remember a journalist report about Kessler, saying something along the lines of he was easier to hit and had lost something after the Perdermo fight. I put that down to inactivity, then he looked poor against Ward which I put down to Wards holding, headbutts and the refs warnings to Kessler, then he (as you say) was being caught often by Froch who is very slow.
The footwork, head movement and combinations had just disappeared. Maybe this was due to eye problems and if so hopefully Kessler is 100% ok again

If Kessler sees well, he'll win easily against Cloud. King is not protecting him for nothing ( asking Pascal' rights for 3 fights in case he won against Cloud shows the lack of confidence of King and his fight against Campillo will make King even more careful). Sauerland is better to make a big offer if he wants to make that fight.

Kessler has always worked hard and has done everything he could to stay active, Kessler's career is closing due to injuries and previous promoter problems..
Pavlik screwed his career by drinking...

Plus prime for prime Kessler would have won rather easily over Kelly.

I will be interested to see Kessler's next fight. I can't help thinking he might be completely shot.

I think he should stop at Super Middleweight although I don't have much interest in a rematch with Ward, I thought Ward won the first comfortably and has improved since whereas Kessler's probably gone backwards.

However I wouldn't mind a rematch with Froch. Or seeing him fight some of the other top SMW like Bute or Dirrell.

Perhaps more winnable fights for him on a comeback that would still generate interest be Arthur Abraham, Kelly Pavlik or Glen Johnson who's best days are probably behind them too.

the Magee team was lowballed; Sauerland are trying to gain some image by offering a so-called deal for the Dane-Killer. The offer was so low and that really means Kessler doesn't want the fight.

I never was too fancy about the Stieglitz fight - seems like waste of time (not that much time left..)

BUT..............if Stieglitz could wait from November to April to fight for his biggest payday- how come he cant wait a month more.....?

Something is rotten in the state of Denmark............(I am afraid) ...:think
