Stieglitz took his health in consideration; besides, he fight Groves in Germany and cannot lose the belt without being KO'ed; he could milk the belt a couple of years, maybe gather the cash he would've won by being destroyed in Denmark. Joke aside, hope Kessler-Magee gets made, opens a door to Ward. Cloud is promoted by Don King, so Sauerland would better get him in Denmark otherwise there's the risk of Kessler being Campillo'ed.
I believe the cancellation is due to Financial trouble. Sauerland has a new tlevisiondeal thats based on Kessler fighting PPV which is not possible when german ARD is boadcasting as Well.
Dont think Stieglitz is to blame here. I guess Sauerland just found a way to save some money.....and then the talks of Magee...................:blood Didn't liked Kessler to fight Stiegltz in the first place and surely don't fancy Magee............... Maybe it is just the time to........:hi:
For my money, Kessler hasn't been 'prime' since the Calzaghe fight. His jab isn't as sharp, he's slower and he's easier to hit. Moving up to LHW, with his inactivity and injuries, is a recipe for getting KTFO, which I'd rather not see happen. If he can no longer campaign at 168 he should retire.
You could be right - because something is clearly not normal.. As I see it, Sauerland loves the big live events, lots of entertainment and arrangements with lots of spectators - that's why the fall in love with Danish fighters with massive support............. I.l guess it is why, they call them self SAUERLAND EVENTS, but you think they now goes for the PPV...............:think
Kessler-Cloud would be a really intriguing fight. Either guy could win and it would be very exciting. Given that Don King is Cloud's promoter though, I don't know if it will happen.
I think too it has a lot to do with PPV money not beeing generated in a German televised broadcast. The lastest news in, is that Sauerland is talking to Lou Debella trying to put on a Mayt 19th. LH clash with.......Allan Green, both of them fighting for a chance to hook (haha) up with Bernard Hopkins in the same division. Apperently WBC has told them to do so. For some reason they seem to think it could rocket Kessler into a major american television deal. Not sure what think of this. Not liking the Green fight as I don“t see it doing much for his resume, while at risk of yet another injurie. Hopkins is 47, but at LH I think it could go either way. To be fair a loss to Hopkins would result i a big payday, but leaving Kessler with a win over Green as his only win since Boudla. Not the most impressive way to end what I would consider an otherwise fine career. Your thoughts?
