I heard buddy will train Monte barrett for his fight with shane cameron

  2. When the fighters win you guys say "he's a great fighter" but when they lose you say "they got a bad trainer."

Mcgirt cant fight for him! It's the fighters fault.

If it wasn't for McGirt Macklin would of lasted half the time. McGirt did a great job on Macklin. Macklin never fought this fast or this smart jabbing to the body. Jabbing to the body is mostly what you see Floyd or Maravilla doing.

That's the truth. Malinaggi was piecce of garbage.

McGitrt an't best, but he is good, give him a superstar fighter and he will be known as superstar trainer. Same can be argued about others.

he did a great job last night...the problem is he always train the weaker fighter against superstar fighters....to be fair, of course hes going to keep losing

I doubt Tarver would have done as well against Roy without Buddy, baby.

"When he's clowning, you keep working, baby."

McGirt's usually spot on... unfortunately, it's up to the fighter to deliver. A few euro-chumps hire him on to train them into an "american" style of fighting and training. I think Macklin was under-rated! Martinez was a 10-1 favorite and Macklin should had beaten Sturm? If he's good enough to beat a euro-champ, he shouldn't be rated that low.

The gameplan McGirt issued was on the mark. We saw a pretty confused Martinez in the ring for the first 6 rounds, and Macklin was ahead at the end of the 7th according to both Ledermans... Martinez started to step it up a notch and got out of cruise control, and showed why he's regarded as a class higher than everyone else....

The stoppage by McGirt was good. Macklin suffered 2 knockdowns pretty close to each other, and by the same straight left punch. His face was getting VERY TORN UP. He's a young fighter - McGirt knew that a KO was inevitable in the 12th round. He knew that Martinez' straight left COULD NOT MISS and Macklin was going to suffer more punishment uselessly, and that damage could affect his career....
