At 130 prime for prime who wins??? I could see Chavez dropping JMM early, but Marquez weathering tha storm and start to frustrate Chavez with his counterpunching. Playing out very similar to Marquez/Pac 1. JMM has never been stopped, I dont think Chavezs style beats JMM. PBF/Whittaker style beats Marquez not a brawler

You're a **** for calling Chavez a "brawler". He wasnt ****in Micheal Katsidis.

Chavez would beat Marquez up. He was just a better fighter.

At 130lbs, Chavez stops him late, after some pretty competitive early rounds.

At 135lbs, i honestly believe, Chavez would "Rosario" Marquez.

And TS really needs to see more Chavez fights.

JMM would put up a valiant effort no doubt but Chavez's relentless pressure and boxing skills would in the end be too much for Marquez.

I'm really starting to think some posters here are confusing JCC with Jesus Chavez:lol:

Have you even seen any JCC fights during his prime years? If not, you really shouldn't be starting threads about fighters you have no knowledge about.

JMM is a great little fighter in his own right, but prime JCC is a different fighter. He's not a face first brawler or an unskilled technician. He combined effective aggressiveness with defense. Take into account that his chin was probably the best in boxing for a very long period of time, and his world-class stamina was also something to admire. Put that into the ring and you had a fighter who put on great fights by slowing breaking down a fighter and went for the kill. He didn't coast to get the win or try to leave it in the judges hands. No, he would beat the living **** out of opponents and if they miraculously survived until the final bell, the judges knew who had won that fight.

JCC is underrated on ESB because some haters and because a lot of casual boxing fans only tuned in when he was past his prime and was getting beat by journeyman's.

Oh, and JCC tkos JMM in about 10.

Ref or corner has to stop this one late. Marquez takes a bloody pounding, but wants to continue.

Marquez would only have a chance at 126 I believe. Earlier than that and he's too timid, later than that and he's too aggressive and aged. They would make an all time great fight stylistically; JMM is basically Chavez's inverse. I think Marquez is one of those fighters who fights to the level of his opponent, and he would potentially show even more greatness were he to pair up against fighters who could bring it out of him.

Chavez was a different level. He was a truly great fighter. Marquez fought older guys originally with names, and now fights mediocre guys and loses big to Mayweather and has a good style for Pacman.

The display of technical skill in the pocket would be great to watch in a fight like this. :good

Marquez beats the top guys in his divisions, unifies titles, and has fought against many diffrent styles, and out of his 60 fights, he has ONE clear lost fighting a guy whos is a stylistic nightmare for him and fighting him 3 divisions above his prime weight with every single disadvantage possible.

**** off with your bull****, idiot.

Juan Diaz was older when Marquez fought him?

    :smoke

I doubt Marquez beats Chavez, but I bet he gives Chavez hell.
