I think Floyd's best weightclass is 147 to be honest right now.

154 is right outside his best.

However, even at 147, sometimes you get monsters like Tommy Hearns, but that's just life.

You can't just run away from your problems just because someone else may be better than you and have a stylistic advantage.

Why does Floyd get to choose a fight, a weightclass and every other option where he has every conceivable advantage, when all the other fighters need to fight way out of thier weightclass?

If Floyd is a 140 lb fighter, why the hell is he not fighting at 140?

Probably because his girl doesn't like him lookin like a damn skeleton, and he's more healthy at a higher weightclass.

But I agree with you that Floyd isn't 154, but 140 is too small.

Floyd is a welter, certifiable. Martinez is a 154 lb fighter, but back in the day, 140 and 154 didn't exist.

Martinez would be the middleweight champ, and Floyd would be the welterweight champ.

Because the fights were at 147 just like Manny. And even though both Manny and Floyd can fight at 140 if they go down people will ***** and moan about it.:deal

Manny, maybe considering he fights at 144, but honestly, I think they both look good at welter.

Of course, they are going to have guys that have stylistic advantages over them, but that's ****in life.

They need to deal with it.

147 is perfectly fine for both Manny and Floyd.

Floyd would look like a damn skeleton at 140. He wouldn't be at his best.

Of course they both look good at welter. **** Floyd could beat everybody at 154 easy he is still a 140 fighter. Floyd makes 147 easy. People are basically saying Manny and Floyd are so good they shouldnt fight at their weight class. Well gues what? they dont fight at their weight class. But since they are so good at that people want them to fight two wieght classes up. Floyd is doing that this fight. But enough is enough. At some point it has to stop do you want these guys giving up 40 lbs in the ring next?

Floyd is fighting at 147 because that's where the money is at and he is more comfortable at 147, BUT he'd dominate more at 140 (not just because of current competition).

Floyd left 130 because he got too big
Floyd left 135 because he couldn't get the fights he wanted
Floyd left 140 because he was chasing Oscar De La Hoya and other big fights
He briefly went to 154 to fight Oscar.

Floyd never really left a weight class because he outgrew it except at 130. It was also just him trying to chase bigger fights. He has always been pretty small for the weight.

Why are you showing me things from 2005 and 2002?

WTF is the point of all this bull****?

What the **** am I arguing about?

What the **** all ya'll tryin to say, Floyd should fight Pac at 140?

    That's some bull****.

I don't want to see that bull**** fight. They should fight at 147 where they both look healthy.

Floyd doesn't need to be lookin like a damn skeleton and not gettin ***** from his girl so he can fight Pac at 140.

    That's dumb as hell.

They both look good at 147, so they should fight at 147.

What is all this other bull****?

Who the **** wants to see Floyd fight at 140?

Floyd looked like a damn kid in 2005, even if he was 27. He obviously aged well.

Now he's a bald headed man. He's not a kid anymore.

Listen, Floyd will get no ***** from any girl look like a bald headed skeleton of a man at 140 when he clearly looks strong at 147.

What the **** is the poiint of this?

You think Floyd should fight at 140?

Is that what you're trying to say?

Then why the **** is he fighting at 154?

Floyd is not a skinny kid anymore. The man is a grown up. He looks like a grown up. People tend to put on weight when they become a full fledged man.

And Floyd ain't a kid anymore.

What's hard to understand about this?

There's a difference..... Fliyd is like BHOP and Pac in their conditioning habits... Most fighters like Erik balloon up in weight in between fights.....sometimes 20, 30 lbs or more. Floyd always stays in shape which changes the physiological make up in athletes... Floyd isn't a small WW...... BHOP wasn't a small MW... They're just very lean in their natural weight class who tend to come in under their division limit ALL the time for their bouts... As does Pac.

Guys, Martinez is too small, there's Andre Dirrell, Anthony Dirrell for Ward to fight, much better fights.

I wouldn't argue with this statement... A big Jr MW or a small MW.
