If Pavlik beats Chavez which is a fight that is going to happen after 2 quick tune ups, Kelly will be in the thick of things.

The fight would be fairly big and Martinez would rather fight Pavlik then Ward or Bute. I doubt Mayweather will fight Sergio. And the Pirog fight is not happening either.

Sergio's Power didnt do anything to Pavlik in the last fight! Drunk or Not! So why would anyone in the world say Kelly Is getting KO'd???

Sergio wants No part Of Pavlik! Sergio is lucky Macklin doesn't have a chin or he would Have lost Saturday! Macklin Controlled That Fight!

You dont think Sergio wants a pay day Rustbelt? It would not be a mayweather or Pacquiao level pay day thats for sure.

Sergio might be smart enough to know that he was fortunate to fight a less then 100% Pavlik. If thats the case he might even duck Pavlik and just fight bums till he retires.

Nothing about Pavlik's attitude begs for a rematch. ...Not even a public answer from Martinez.

Don't you think it's a bit premature to be saying things like "Sergio might even duck Pavlik" before Pav's even had a comeback fight under Garcia?

No one knows how he's going to look at this point in time - looking good in the gym doesn't cut it, in my opinion.

I'm a fan of both guys, but any opinion on Pavlik should be reserved until a couple of weeks time, I reckon.

No I think after a fight with Chavez it will put Pavlik back into the picture in around middle and Martinez should be interested in fighting Pavlik. Sergio could maybe not want the fight though seeing the first fight was close and that Pavlik will be better in a rematch.Rustbelt just seemed to think that Sergio wants no part of Pavlik it may be true i am not 100% sure of anything. Sergio did duck Pavlik at a catch weight of 164 already.

Pavlik needs a few goods tune ups before he risks his come back against Sergio

I see what you're saying, and a win over Chavez absolutely puts Kelly back in the picture at Middle.

I guess I'm reserving judgement on Kelly winning that fight until he's had some ring time so I can assess where he's at. As it stands, I'd say it's not a done deal he beats Chavez at this point (Pav of '07 lights him up though).

As far as Sergio refusing a rematch at an over the weight fight, I have no issue with that - I feel Sergio has no business about 160. I know Pav gave JT a rematch at 166 (I think), but that's the only instance I can remember of a winner giving an over the weight rematch? (Correct me if I'm wrong by all means).

I'll revisit this in a couple of weeks!

    :good

Yeah thats right it don't take long, a win over Chavez will totaly change the public perception of Kelly. Although many boxing fans on this site know that Chavez is not a big win. And from what I have seen that fight is happening after Pavliks second tune up fight.
