It was close I had Macklin winning the first round also but it was close. By the time the fight was over I think I had Martinez up by a round. Back to back fights where Martinez has been in tough.
I agree about the Knockdown. Sergio was dominating the round so it was hard to say it was 10-8 for macklin thats why i scored it 9-8. Macklin fought a great fight! Sergio was Not very happy early on!
You are obviously biased. You are always talking Kelly up so im sure you were rooting for Macklin. did you seriously say that Macklin was the one pressuring Martinez? did you even watch the fight? even Macklin said that was not his gameplan. he was sitting back the whole time.
The first half of the fight macklin got two rounds at.best. Second half he got credjt for a knock down but outside of that theres no way u kan give him anymore rounds.
I watched the fight twice and I honestly cannot justify Macklin winning any of the first three rounds. It's beyond me. I don't mean, hey, I've got a different opinion. I mean, hey, how could this be a matter of opinion. And no, how could anyone watch the fight and say Macklin was out-landing and putting pressure on the whole fight? What fight was this? :deal He was letting Martinez come after him and countered Martinez. And when he realized he was behind and was going forward, he was getting hit with them left hands and got TKO'd.
Yes he is, but more importantly he's explosive and throws that left hand from the waist, meaning his opponent will have a hard time seeing the shots coming in. If he wasn't powerful he wouldn't have Paul Williams sleeping.
I was for Sergio! I was very happy he stepped in the ring with a Irish Scrapper! He just didnt do what I and the Whole world expected. Maybe he is losing a step, or maybe he wanted Macklin to tire out? Who Knows, The Fight I watched Macklin was puttimng the pressure on early. and he actually fought well When Sergio flurried!
