may be wrong but I don't think that you can play free and easy with the ten points must system

Sergio was scoring the jab allll night, I had macklin winning te second round and then he won the knockdown rounds but that's about it

What I expected was exactly what Sergio did, actually. :think Macklin, not so much. He swept the first rounds, like against Pavlik, and then lulled a little and rested and made adjustments and baited a little bit, then came on strong and closed the show. :conf That's what I was expecting, anyway. It's what he did against Dzinziruk, also.

I see. Sergio stopped three fighters in a row who had never been stopped and one who'd never been knocked down that I know of (Williams, Dzinziruk, Barker). He's not exactly weak, is he? Is Ali a puncher? No. How'd he stop Bonavena? Is Mayweather a puncher above 130? No. How'd he stop Hatton? Is Sergio a puncher? He's been looking the part for a bit, but I suppose I wouldn't say a big banger. But, my point is, he got the job done like he's been doing. Macklin doesn't have to have anything wrong with his chin at all, just like Dzinziruk and Williams didn't. Martinez is good enough to hit that button and do it with enough pop. That much is obvious. I'd think.

Exactly right. And this was talked about at the end of the bout.

Martinez told Merchant, "... it was a complicated fight."

Merchant then asks, "Why was it complicated?"

Martinez replies, "Because Macklin didn't come out attacking like I expected him to, and he wasn't open on his defense."

Macklin took some solids shots all fight before going down in the 11th ,and he wasnt koed the corner stopped it because Martinez started to out class him and was hurting him. Martinez broke him down. :deal

When something is in parentheses, it's not meant to be invisible. FYI.

He meant Williams, Dzinziruk and Barker as he clearly stated.

I had it 104-102 Mackilin going into the 12th round. I felt that he edged Martinez in the early-mid rounds to build a lead. I think Martinez somewhat underestamated him allowing him to get the early rounds and build momentum. I felt that Martinez was comming on strong in the end, and Macklin running out of gas. Mackilin had enough of a lead on my scorecard that he would have held on for a 113-112 win.
If they were to rematch, I think Martinez would win with little trubble.
