    he fought a bunch of cans,,,just because ur a fan dont mean u have to defend some stranger that could care less about u personally....it is what it is. who has roy ever fought besides toney and hop?

    he wasted his prime fighting cans...its a shame because he couldve beat all the top guys off of talent alone.....the same goes for joe cal, he was talented and fought alotta cans....fanboys of both get mad but whatever deep down u know its true

    totally agree, even hbo during most of his fights are saying it, and they were on a proper roy hype train... watch the glen kelly fight, all night long they are saying roys never been tested and before the fight even started they are saying kells a class well below. His record just proves that once he did step up he got ktfo.

    Wish that he had stepped up earlier, things could have been so different for him.

    Jones is my favourite fighter of all time but the guy was a steroid cheat and avoided tough fights out of fear of his delicate chin being exposed.

    He fought very good opposition. Yes, he fought some cans too, but so did SRR, Louis, etc.. Look at the good fighters he beat instead of focusing on the weak ones. It seems like people just like to hate on Jones because he was so much better than everyone he fought. He doesnt even get credit for beating Tarver in a historical fight.

    Don't be such a ****ing idiot.

    James Toney, Bernard Hopkins, Antonio Tarver, Virgil Hill.

    Four reasons why you're talking utter ****.

    And you could throw in Montell Griffin, John Ruiz, Sugarboy Malinga, Reggie Johnson, and Clinton Woods as well.

    Thread = Fail :patsch

    A guy with a Mayweather avatar questioning Roy's quality of opponents? That's rich. I bet you weren't even AROUND when Roy was dusting up past and future champs at SMW and Light Heavy through sheer DOMINATION. You DKSAB.

    its hard for jones fanboys to accept that

    - roy is a proven steroid cheating disgrace, the very 1st time roy was drugs tested in his entire professional career, he was found to have 6 times the normal level of testosterone in his system. when indiana state demanded a 2nd sample from roy for further testing, roy jones ignored both requests and 4 weeks later roys attorney realeased a statement with no foundation to it about the results being related to jones taking ripped fuel. anyone who thinks that roy jones specifically changed his routine to take anabolic steroids purely to fight richard hall is completely delusional. it is likely that jones was juicing for a large portion of his professional career as steroid testing was not mandatory in american boxing untill 2002

    - roy couldn't adapt in the ring, if plan A wasn't working, there was no plan B

    - roy couldn't fight in adversity. when the going got tough, roy folded like a lawn chair

    - roy had a terrible glass jaw. when roy had to fight as a clean fighter from 2002 onwards, roy lost some of his athleticism and his ability to get out of the way of punches, this led to roys glass jaw being exposed.

    - roy was never beat a lineal champion in his entire career

    Have you even seen those fights? There wasn't enough action in the two of them put together to make an outclassing or destruction. Those fights were both more circling and posturing than fighting and the Toney fight is even further marred by the fact that Toney had already eaten himself out of MW and drained the hell out of himself to make the limit. Roy beat up nobodies, nothing but shot has-beens and never-weres with those two fights being the only thing his nuthuggers can cling to. Oh, those and his "brilliant" step up in weight to fight a fat, Feather Fisted slob of a HW who had a trinket title belt.:patsch

    Jones is and was a Glass Jawed Fraud and his career was emphasized by more skillful matchmaking than fighting.
