I reckon as long as Martinez doesnt decline with age very soon that he'd outbox Canelo fairly easily. But i reckon the bookies would favour Alavarez. Younger, got the hype behind him, undefeated, probably a bigger puncher. Thoughts?

Would be a good fight, but Maravilla stops him late.

Martinez 1/2 on I'd have him, think he'd make Alvarez miss a lot. These kind of threads do make me laugh though- you're predicting that all the boxing odds compilers don't know much about the sport and are therefore going to have the wrong favourite?! Whilst there are rare occasions like this, most know their stuff

Im not claiming to be an expert. I just think they'd favour him for the reasons i outlined. He'll probably devour a few faded big names between now and any Martinez fight.

I think bookies would favour Martinez and if they didn't straight away they would when the money started to move.

I like Alvarez, he's very composed and pressures well when he steps it up but I don't think he has the beating of Martinez.

Canelo isn't ready for Martinez yet.

Martinez is beatable but he still beats Alvarez at this stage and Canelos camp are never taking it. I say Martinez stop him late after fighting hard early.

Alvarez is a harder puncher than Martinez?

    Dunno about that like.

Martinez would be made favourite IMO he is the champion at a higher weight, is more experienced and is a far better fighter at this stage.

Really the WBC are absolutely atrocious - how can any governing body 'give' belts so blatantly to their compatriots in the manner they have done with Canelo/JCCJr is beyond me.
