Larry Holmes: " I think Mayweather just got a little too scared if you ask me "

Discussion in 'World Boxing Forum' started by Mr Babatude, Mar 20, 2012.

  1. I ****ing hate boxing writers who can't spell Muhammad Ali's name correctly. It's the first sign of a jaggoff trying to write about boxing.

That being said, if he isn't being misquoted, Larry Holmes is 100% correct.

Mayweather could have CEMENTED and left no question about his greatness if he woulda quit putting up roadblocks. He coulda fought and beat Pacquiao... made bazillions of $$, then rematched him and made bazillions more.

ATGs and legends alike have echoed what Holmes is saying here and Mayweather should never be allowed to forget it.

Larry Holmes destroyed his credibility with those asinine comments. Very stupid and obviously ignorant who get the bigger paydays.

f**k the 70/30,............this duck is not about the money split or osdt or arum or the f**king lawsuit.

if floyd really believed that pac was such an easy fight, he would have taken the 50-50 split or the 55-45 gamble.. both sides have already agreed to that split once before and pac already agreed to the previous hold-up.

Uncle Tom..... he wasn't that good any way. He was black... but he wasn't slick.. and he he was champion but he fought in a weak era. He may have a record for some title defenses but it means nothing because he lost! More than once! He's obviously a grade A *******.:rofl

Larry Holmes is the typical jealous black man. Same ****er who picked on Tyson because he was smaller.

Anyone who reads what he said, and can't put aside their love/hate to call him out on the few dumb comments he made in that shouldn't be/isn't taken seriously here.

He absolutley made some dumb ass comments... but anyone who reads ALL of what he said and refuses to take in consideration all of the things he said that were spot on shouldn't be or won't be taken seriously here.

    Holmes is a trip...

1).Pacquiao the greatest of all time? he hasnt even beat Marquez once decisively and hasnt fought a live opponent since both Marquez fights...excitement is great but Manny dont have the skills or the resume to claim that sad but true

    2) Mayweather cant make money...LMAO...Mayweather could fight me and generate more money than a Pacquiao fight with some contender...last time I checked Mayweather has the record for PPV for a single fight and is the biggest PPV seller

3)Mayweather scared....the dude had gloves on since he was 3 years old....doubt he is scared of anyone...both men are prize fighters, what i willl say is no matter if Mayweather or PacMan wanna fight each other,

Haven't seen you on here in a while Knuckle.. :thumbsup

Pac didn't do all he could do, but he did a lot. He caved in to demands, so I can't knock him for that.. If he didn't open his mouth on taking a lesser split it would be Arum and Floyd's ****ups alone this time.

That's pretty much I all I got that was 'spot on' from what I've seen written... compared to Mayweather should fight Pac on drugs.. He can't make big paydays without Pac.. Pac is the greatest of all time... People have always paid big money to watch his fights...

I'm sure you can see how it's easy to see what's wrong with what he said, vs what's 'spot on'.

Why should you be subjected to fighting a cheater because you're good anyway?

That logic will never sit well with me. It makes no sense.

Look im a big mayweather fan even more so than Pac. Its been clear from the start hes intimidated though. His uncle, his dad and floyd see a dude looking that good as pac was doing and they just trow out steroid accusations without a shread of proof? Thats some slanderish lame ****. They see someone doing good an they say hes on **** lol. They basically said holy **** this dude is looking so good we want him tested. Thats called being afraid sorry
