Cleverley should tell the WBO to stick their belt. The Champion makes the belt, the belt doesnt make the champion. He will be just like Martinez, everyone knows Cleverly is the real champion.

Yeah it's weird how the WBO are not letting Cleverly fight yet another bum mandatory to set up another mandatory defence against someone whose only claim to fame is being on the wrong end of the knock out highlight real every year since 2005 isn't it? You'd think they'd be well up for it! How many other organisations can claim to have Robin Krasniqi's name on a poster under their name? None I bet.

How must these suited men's minds work?? Probably coin operated, this is boxing after all. Perhaps the rumours are true and your boss doesn't have the coins any more.

 

Still can't believe he brought up Eubank and Watson as a argument for this!

 

Eubank is Bunce's go-to strawman for arguing that it's OK to sell **** 'world title' defences for £10 a month. I mean after all, Eubank fought some bums on ITV once!

 

Robin Krasniqi is ranked No.4 also by the wbo so it also not as if they have to put him in the rankings to justify the title shot

WBO have previous remember when calzaghe was to fight Magee but it got cancelled because his mandatory was Mario Viet

 

As Jeff Thomas has said repeatedly, Allegedly Promotions have one MAJOR failing.

They're just living in the past.

In the internet era, with footage available for all to see, it's not enough just to get someone from an exotic sounding country or with an interesting ''grew up on the streets'' tale.

Back then, people must just have assumed ''he's a hard *******, Bruno might not win this one'' and buy a ticket. When the bum was inevitably whacked into kingdom come in about two rounds, people might not have bothered going again.

People can look at Boxrec and see who fighters have faced, who they've beaten and who they've lost to - and most likely find plenty of footage on YT too.

That's where the ''high KO %'' and ''never been stopped'' fall away I'm afraid.

Wouldn't be so bad if Clev (or whoever) was banging these guys out inside a couple of rounds, instead he is regularly being extended by the likes of Mohammedi and Karpency - the latter in particular was a particularly poor opponent.

The Eubank argument is **** weak - nobody Eubank fought after his first half a dozen fights was as weak as ''world class sparring partner'' Tommy K, even Dos Santos or whatever his name was, who lasted about seven seconds.

Given that Allegedly pays Steve's wages, we can't expect him to come on here and start laying into them, but at the very least speak objectively. You can't criticise Froch for taking too many risky fights - as he has done - and accuse it of being bad promoting, and at the same time condone the regular selection of **** weak opponents fighting on a channel that nobody has ever heard of.

That's bad promoting.
