So basically Martinez ***** ass wqas bluffing about fighting the bigger JCC Jr, and came up with a reason to duck Jr. when he called his bluff, bad enough I had little respect for Martinez, but this move here certifies him as a 100% fraud, he only cares about fighting cans and WW's

    Diuretics is hardly roids.
Your boy Scar does the same ****. Too anti Mexican to take him seriously. Bitter Arab is what I rate him as. His opinion is too biased and pointless.

Doesn't matter at all if Jr tested positive for anything, Martinez begged for the fight claimed Arum and Jr wanted no parts of him and even bashed HBO in the process, but when Jr surprisingly steps up to the plate, he creates a road block that he knows damn well Top Rank won't budge on

I don't believe Martinez can/should be able to get Chavez stripped if he refuses olympic style blood testing... it's not required, and they can't MAKE him take the tests..

How exactly does that mean Martinez is scared though, because he wants to insure he's facing a clean fighter? Not sure how requesting blood tests now somehow equates to not wanting to fight your opponent or being scared... When both fighters agree without any issue there's none of that scared talk, seems like it's just fans of those who don't want to take the test trying to defend their fighter.

Is a little odd Sergio is just now talking about blood tests for his opponent though... Hopefully he's taking this stance from now on, and not trying to single out Chavez.. That's just wrong.

A diuretic is a performance enhancer. It allows you to come into a fight bigger and stronger than you otherwise would be able to, thereby enhancing your performance.

It is his way out. It might even be justified. We don't know. Maybe he SHOULD be scared if he believes the guy is really roiding. Nothing wrong with that but it is what it is. If Sergio turns down the fight on this issue it means he doesn't want it for whatever reason. Maybe he is right, maybe he isn't but it does mean 'he wants none' for WHATEVER reason. Just on other way to see it.

That's actually the only way to see it. Other fighters are perfectly willing to fight him on his hypothetical roids.

So you feel anyone asking for extra testing is looking for a way out and/or is scared? :huh So these other fights going on with additional testing have one fighter going into the fight scared of the other? Really? I agree if he doesn't require anyone else to take these tests it's not the best look, even if Chavez has been busted for **** before.. But to say he's scared or looking for a way out, I just don't get it..

You do realize that "current testing" does not exist in Texas in any reasonable way, right?

You do realize the proposed fight will take place in Vegas, right? It's right in the first post of the thread.

Despite the speculation that it would take place in Vegas, it would absolutely be in Texas or Mexico if Martinez is willing to concede to everything else.

He already said he accepted everything else on the table but will not fight without the extra testing. That is pretty much the definition of 'way out' whatever his reasons are. I'm not debating if those reasons are valid or not. I simply don't know. This is strictly a matter of definition here. He IS using it as a way to get out of the fight he has begged for and demanded in the press. There is NO other way to see it because he knew all along he couldn't enforce this.
