Vargas UD. Unless a new and improved Gomez shows up, he's gonna lose a 8-2 type decision, barring a upset ko.
Gomez wins by late stoppage in a pretty good fight. The two fighters are very similar, they both throw a lot of punches, good variety of punches, not much power, but Gomez has a few more veteran tricks, particularly on the inside, a little more power, and the ability to take a better shot.
Could end up as the fight of the night. Good chance for upset here IMO. Gomez from the Soto Karass fight gives Vargas a long night (no headbutt)
Gomez always comes to win. He'll put up a good fight in this one, just don't know if he will take home the W. I will be rooting for him.
It's weird, I used to root for Gomez, but I kinda wish he'd just retire now. I dunno what happened, I don't dislike him, but the fact he's always so inactive makes me feel he just isn't dedicated anymore and I hate to see him be a stepping stone. I mean if he was having promotional problems I can understand that.
