I would just require the regular drug testing, but make sure Chavez does not avoid that testing like he has done before. He was arrested for driving drunk! I'm one JR's biggest haters before... but even I can see JR carries good physical qualities and a decent skill set to negate the aging Martinez's arsenal of an outside fight... am willing to bet some serious dough that JR takes this in a defining win... I hope the odds are very high in Martinez favor how they hype him in these boards so much so I can make some $$$.

Funny a lot of the fighters refusing OSDT are the same fighters a lot already in advance suspects of being cheats, so no big surprise they dont want more testing, damn they could get unlucky and be CAUGHT!

There should be the Highest Quality Testing in Pro Sports. More so in "Combat" sports where being Bigger, Stronger, Faster and having more endurance can make a difference.

If you were competing on that level and your career and life were at risk___Most people would want to have everything on a level playing field.

Why would you want someone to have an unfair advantage?

Why would someone want a lesser fighter to gain the advantage and not only put him on your level say with strength, speed and endurance__but possibly walk in greater than you now when he "naturally" is inferior to you (without the PEDs)?

You can have all the skill in the world but sometimes being Bigger, Stronger and more Powerful overcomes the better skilled fighter.

 

The Rules should be changed. However, from a financial stand-point, it's hard to do. It's expensive to require fighters to take high quality tests like this. And if you make one do it and not others, lawyers are going to get involved.

And, boxing, unlike some other sports, is somewhat looked at as an Independent sport. Like Cowboys.
So it's not the NFL, MLB, Olympics, Tennis, etc. that are well organized compared.
