Sergio, if he’s wants stricter protocols, should take it up with the commissions. That goes the same for other fighters. If you’re that concerned about everyone cheating (a notion which I believe is very exaggerated), then do something to make a change across the whole board. You can’t pick and choose who you want testing. That’s bull****. This approach paves the way for people wanting to fire up beef with specific people (like Pascal and Mayweather have done), gain some sort of psychological advantage, or even worm yourself out of fights.

It’s such a shame that, after being soooo desperate for him, he had to throw this somewhat unnecessary roadblock in the way. He should know that if Chavez refuses the tests (something which he has no shame in doing), then there’s absolutely nothing that can be done about it. He [Chavez] will just happily move onto the next opponent, and Sergio will be left in the cold again, complaining about no one giving him a chance.

Now, I say it’s an unnecessary roadblock, because it’s highly unlikely that he’s juicing, anyway. He struggles badly to make weight, but with all the attention on Ariza and the wildcard, and with Khan – who's handled by the same people – committing to OSTDs, I don’t think they’re up to anything bad. Unless it’s done behind the backs of Ariza and Roach, of course.

(But I have to say, skipping the **** test after the last fight, was ****ing dodgy. Maybe Sergio could ask for other forms of stringent testing? Like another poster has said - he has the right to ask, but not the right to demand. Especially when he's the one who's desperate for the fight.)

Apparently much ado about nothing. 'Seen' it somewhere that negotiations continue and it goes to purse bid if their is no agreement by Arpil 16. So, if Sergio doesn't drop his demand he loses what Lou got in negotiations and gets the challengers purse. That probably means less cuz Dibella won't try and out bid Arum and Sergio gets no up side if it goes to bid. Sergio is just posturing. Geez, who'd a thunk it.

sergio doesnt give a flying **** about the wbc title, everyone knows that hes the middleweight champ, but he knows that belt is the only credibility that chavez has

the wbc mandatory was serigos only leverage in even getting chavez to negotiate, and the belt sergios only leverage to get chavez to agree to his simple request for additional testing

i dont think hes using it as a cop out

Yeah, turns out to be a publicity stunt instead.
