Question: How come no one has ever been scared of or ducked Floyd?

We read all the time on this forum and even in some of the general boxing media that Floyd is constantly scared of or ducking certain fighters (mostly Top Rank fighters at that).

We have also seen people accused of ducking and being scared of Paul Williams, Manny, Khan, Martinez, Margarito :)lol:), Cotto, Rios, etc.

But no one, EVER, outside of some people who see the truth in the Manny situation, has EVER accused anyone of being scared of Floyd.

Now here is the thing: We know Floyd is not a MASSIVE puncher, but he has a style that is REALLY HARD to fight, and has made alot of fighters look alot less talented than they really are. And when he hits you, he CAN hurt you and even stop you.

He's also considered one of the greatest defensive fighters of all time, and is a ATG who has never so much as hit the canvas in a fight. His speed, footwork, agility, and chin have all been tested and held firm.

The other fighters mentioned have all been KO'ed, beaten badly, or in the case of Rios, really hasnt fought anyone.

Yet we are supposed to believe that people are fearful of the guys, but NOT fearful of one of the most talented boxers in recent history, with a style that can make them seem like mice instead of men.

Sure, nowadays the payday to fight Floyd would make it worth the risk, but even years ago, before he was a star, everyone was saying was scared of this guy and that guy, yet NO ONE was scared to fight Floyd. Hell, even bums on the street with no training werent scared to fight him.

It's interesting that, according to many, no one has ever been even the slightest bit hesitant to fight a man with a confounding style, blazing speed, high boxing IQ, ATG defense, who has never been KO'ed, KD'ed or even lost EVER!! Also, no promoter has ever steered his fighter from that style, according to these same people.

And all these guys that Floyd never fought? One must remember, that they didnt fight him either. :deal

So, why has no one ever been afraid of this boxing marvel? :think

Victor Ortiz was scared enough to try to kiss and make up with him 15 times in 30 seconds after fouling him.

    Money.

    But here is the situation.

Money is also the reason why guys like Floyd and Pac may be reluctant to challenge themselves too, because if they lose, they lose a considerable amount of money.

Money wasnt such a huge factor against the pre-DLH fight Floyd. He was not a big star as of yet.

So why even then was everyone allegedly so willing to fight him?

Bit of a silly question. He's always been 'the man' in every division he's been in. You'd have to be stupid to want to duck him.

Before he became a star, I doubt that many people wanted to fight him. They probably wanted to fight DLH.

All the other guys I mentioned have been considered "the man" in a division at one point or another as well.

But they have all been ducked and feared, according to many.

That's a logical thought, but not according to many on here. According to them, everyone, from future ATG's to small children have all lined up to fight Floyd since day one.

No one ducks him anymore because its a high risk /HIGH REWARD fight but i've read articles about Mosley ducking him in their prime at the lower weights before Mayweather got all the fame

Shane Mosley didn't want to fight Floyd back then.

Cotto(e) has recently admitted he didn't ever try to push for a Mayweather fight.

It's difficult to look half good against Mayweather. These guys are finally willing to fight him towards the end of their careers, they get beat to collect a retirement pension. emmanuel is going down the same path.

Right, but no one gives Mosley **** for that (and really he should not, because eventually he did fight him, and Floyd was just as dangerous).

I know that and you know that, but according to many, Floyd still ducked Cotto.

But it is inconceivable that Cotto would have ever thought twice about fighting Floyd, according to to these same people.
