Joe Louis beat bums his whole career, only real "big names" on his record are Jersey Joe Walcott and Ezzard Charles and Charles was almost a lightheavyweight and Walcott was also only a Cruiserweight who was old when Louis fought him - and still Walcott was robbed the first time and gave Louis hell. (btw Walcott lost against bums before he fought Louis) and now listen: People who want to tear the Klitschko's legacies down say all the time: "What are the Klitschkos' best wins?" Some guy even posted a joke thread in which he said Chris Byrd has a better legacy than Vitali cause he has better wins. And here comes the hypocrisy: those same pple who say "What are the best wins of the Klitschkos?" also say "Joe Louis is the greatest Heavyweight ever!". - And now I wanna know what Joe Louis' greatest wins are because as I said Joe Louis beat a bunch of bums basically his whole career, got knocked down by guys like Tony Galento and struggled with an old Walcott, struggled with the middleweight Billy Conn (got outboxed by Conn) and now I wanna ask: WHAT ARE LOUIS' BEST WINS? Cause the truth is the Klitschkos overall beat better opponents with better records than Joe Louis. And saying Joe Louis is greater than the Klitschkos cause he beat a bunch of bums, got beaten by an old Walcott (who got robbed in the 1st fight) and beat the lightheavyweight Ezzard Charles is a joke to me. Or is Joe Louis the greatest Heavyweight cause he got the knockout against the middleweight Billy Conn? Sorry but thats how I see it.
Over all good post, but you forgot about over-the-hill lightheavyweight Schmellings who brutally KO'd Louis.
I dont expect a lot of answers in this thread cause I know that the truth hurts, and I have no doubt that some pple are looking forward to not being confronted with the truth anymore (meaning when this thread is on page 2)
the thing is this: you guys cant discuss with me in a discussion cause you know every word I said in the first post is the honest truth. I wouldnt wanna argue with the truth either... Not one word I said is untrue and u guys know it
People who say Joe Louis fought Bums clearly know nothing about Boxing. It was called 'Bum of the Month' Club because he was beating them all so easily. Not because they were actual bums. Imagine if a Boxer came along, and beat Ali, Foreman, Liston, Frazier, Lewis, Tyson, Marciano etc.. All one month after the other, and all with ease - People would refer to these fighters as 'bums'. Joe Louis' "Bum of the Month" Club was labelled so based on how he was winning - NOT based on the quality of the opposition.
Make this thread after Wlad has a consecutive 25 title defences. Maybe then you'd have a good argument. Until then GTFO.
