Here is another commom lie we see on this forum every day. "The division is nothing but fat overweight bums!" Is that true? Here is the newest top 10 from the Ring magazine. Champion: Wladimir Klitschko, fantastic shape. #1 Vitali Klitschko, fantastic shape. #2 Alexander Povetkin, fair shape. #3 Tomasz Adamek, very good shape. #4 Alexander Dimitrenko, top shape. #5 Robert Helenius, can be a little out of shape. #6 Denis Boytsov, top shape. #7 Rusland Chagaev, can be overweight in his fights. #8 Chris Arreloa, overweight by 25+ pounds. #9 Kubrat Pulev, a little overweight. #10 Tyson Fury, good shape. Now let's go back 20 years to a top 10 that was never called "fat.." The Ring's top 10 from 1992. Champion: Vacant. #1 Riddick Bowe, Bowe's prime weight was in the mid 220's in 92 he fought Evert Martin at 235lbs and Pierre Coetzer at 245lbs. So in 92 Bowe was "fat" #2 Lennox Lewis, top shape. #3 Evander Holyfield, fantastic shape. #4 Michael Moorer, in 92 Moorer was fighting with a massive gut. #5 Tony Tucker, his prime weight was around 220lbs. In 92 tucker fighting in the high 230's. Or, a little overweight. #6 George Foreman, his prime weight was mid 220's, but Foreman was fighting in the mid 250's. Very overweight. #7 Razor Ruddock, good shape. #8 Ray Mercer. was fighting in about the same shape as Povetkin in today. #9 Tommy Morrison. Tommy's prime weight was 214/218lbs but fought around 228 in 92. Or, about like Povetkin today. #10 Alex Carcia, fair shape. So as anybody can see todays fighters are in better shape than 20 years ago.:hi: Just another lie from the haters.
people always say todays hw are big, underskilled fat bums but obviously they don't follow hw boxing anymore.I doubt they will even be watching tye fields vs Mariusz Wach this weekend
#3 Tomasz Adamek, very good shape. More evidence (if it was needed) that you're p4p one of the shittest posters on here, you even fail at the trolling.
So much fail, so many mistakes & so much nonsense. I wish I didnt read but I did. http://www.eastsideboxing.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=7 :hi:
:rofl:rofl:rofl Its quite sad that these dudes day in and day out try to convince themselves that this Era isnt the worst when in reality it is!
Riddick Bowe fought Holyfield the first time in 1992, he was in fantastic shape at 235, and in easily the best performance of his career he went 12 hard rounds with Evander. And you've got Tyson Fury as being in "good shape"? Really?
I like your threads cause you know boxing. you dont just repeat the lies of other people, you see and say things how they are. Great thread.
I don´t think that fighters nowadays have no chance against the old ones but don´t deny that fact that they´re overweight cherry pickers :nono
