well the klits make them look like nobody. Think, in the 50's Sam Peter would still be Heavyweight champion of da world, who next!

 

The heavyweight division is not crap. Some are saying that only because Vitali and Vlad are beating all the fighters out there, if The Klitschkos were to lose the same ones would claim the heavyweight division is the best ever!

 

There r alot of great hw fighters it's just klitskos brothers r tht much ahead I could run down a list of 20 good hw right now the good ones need too fight more

 

Outside of the top 2 it is ****.

I've yet to read a single post that isn't full of holes and convinces me otherwise.

 

Outside of the top 2 many other were '****'. 1930s, 1950s and 1980s come to mind.

Doesn't mean this era is full of greatness, just saying it's probably closer to 'average' than 'worst ever'.

THE FACTS

Vitali took the fight on just 10 days notice.

Vitali was clearly winning the fight 4-2 on all 3 scorecards at the time of the controversial doctor stoppage. Lewis barely survived the 2nd round and almost got KO'd, he was badly hurt, holding on for dear life, wobbling everywhere and staggering around the ring like a drunk. Lewis was badly hurt several times in the fight and was getting outslugged, outworked, outmuscled, outlanded and outboxed by Vitali.

Lewis was exhausted, worn down and hurt from the accumulation of punches and was ready to get KTFO again, he collapsed onto his stool at the end of the 6th round, Vitali was clearly the fresher of the two, he would've KO'd Lewis for sure if the fight had continued.

After the fight, Vitali intimidated the **** out of Lewis and made him look like a *****. The whole crowd cheered for Vitali and booed Lewis.

Lewis promised Vitali a rematch.

Vitali destroyed Kirk Johnson in 2 rounds and called out Lewis again in the post fight interview. The gutless coward Lewis retired shortly after that fight.

Lewis turned down 40 million dollars for a rematch and retired like a coward because he knew he would get destroyed by Vitali.

Vitali dominated Lewis and scared his ***** ass into retirement.

In an interview right before the Vitali fight, Lewis said "I'm at the peak of my powers, I will keep fighting for many more years"

Vitali and Wlad have both easily surpassed Lewis.

Lewis will be remembered as a gutless coward who got his ass whooped by Vitali, blatantly ducked a rematch and retired with his tail between his legs.

If you stretch over time, Wlads and Vitalis era have been desent. But right now it is completly dog ****, with Wlad fighting Mormeck and grandpa Thompson.

Exactly. Most fans of the heavyweights want to convince you that it is the greatest ever. Or they point to other fighters of the past. Well we aren't talking about the 60's, 70's, 80's or 90's, we are talking right now. We are not talking about who won Lewis vs. Klitschko or how many rounds they have won/lost, or who has a good left hook or better defence.

Please tell me why I should get excited to watch Briggs, Mormeck, Thompson X 2, cruiserweight fights, Rahman? I am not even here to troll or argue, I am straight up giving you a chance to give me a reason to care and pay money to watch these fights when all the best HW's duck eachother?
