    Benitez started to do better in the fourth, slipping numerous punches and finding the range with his right hand. "I wasn't aware I was in a championship early because I hit him so easy," Leonard said. "But then he adjusted to my style. It was like looking in a mirror."

    Benitez is the commonly forgotten member of the fab 5 of the 80's imo.

    guy has no offence, none.:lol::rofl:patsch

    Someone should let him know that the object of the game is to hit your opponent.

    In the 15th round, SRL and Benitez were throwing and slipping each other's punches so smoothly that they stopped, looked at each other and smiled like, "Damn, you're like my twin brother!"

    You thnk he beat Duran by slipping nearly every punch?
    He peppered the hell out of Palomino while on the ropes most of the fight and slipping almost every punch!!!

    I'm glad I met him on a couple of occasions.
    BadAss Benitez!!!

    It was a defensive highlight. You don't become champion at 17 and through 3 weight divisions, beating fighters like Antonio Cervantes, Carlos Palomino, and Roberto Duran without an effective offense.

    Peep the Hope KO that was posted earlier.

    He had an offence when he wanted to, which shows against Hope. But he often forgot about it and sort of admiring his own defensive work.

    Benitez was incredible. That last clip Tommy anticipated Benitez bending down so he would hit him with the right and Benitez pulls his head up. There was just no way to hit him clean. I don't think you can teach people Benitez. It is something special.

    "The Bible of Boxing" or "The Bible of Defensive Boxing" would be more suited.

    I think Benitez is one of the most talented boxers of all time. His defense is legendary and his offense is underrated. If boxing matches were decided on talent alone he'd would have beaten Leonard and Hearns.
