I always considered Tony Ayala Jr. one of the biggest scumbags to ever put on a pair of gloves, but I was surprised that he came across as very intelligent and articulate in this interview. Of course just months after this interview he would do time for breaking into a young womans house-if she didnt shoot him, who knows what he would have done, and later convicted of other charges. Hes been in prison since 2004 and due to get out in about a year.
He did rearsfor raping and beating his girlfriend...once out he returned to the pen for similar charges. If he does get released mist likely he will be back in a matter of time!!! Very street smart and book smart just has a propensity for violent brhaviour and abuse! His brothers Mike and Paulie were nothing like him!!! People who beat their girlfriends are sick individuals including a current boxer!!!
Tony is bypolar. He does well when he stays on his meds but when he is off and drinking and drugging he is insane. Tony fought one of my friends in Italy years ago. He stopped My friend Pat in around the 5th round. Before and after the fight he was a complete gentleman. He is a devout Catholic and what is bizarre he does not remember most of his acts. He only knows various parts and what people tell him he did. It is tragic and sad actually for all involved.
