The odds for pavik v taylor got me thinking. ko-odds.com have Taylor listed at 2.68. Thats big overs considerin he had Pavlik down pretty bad in the last fight. Coincide this with perhaps his psyche has not been crushed as most scribes think and I am starting to think its not a bad bet!

I put my money on Taylor at +162. I think Pavlik has the edge, but barely. I think there are a lot of distractions that go along with winning your first world title. Taylor, on the other hand, seems really committed to redeeming himself. It was probably a bad bet, but I had a hunch and decided to go with it.

Almost certain he will do better in the rematch but will still end up losing. His punch resistance will never be the same. He got hit too much to begin with long before Pavlik, and after such a stoppage that left his body limp you'll see he won't be able to take half the beating he did in the first. He may get hit less in the first half but watch.. He won't be able to take as many clean shots as he was.

I dont see this fight going the distance either way, Taylor best bet is to turn into a boxing match, where his speed and overall skills will prevail. Pavlik is a strong puncher, with a workrate, his best bet is to get Taylor on the ropes as much as possible, and line him up for that big right hand. Im perdicting a 7th round TKO for Pavlik, I feel mentally Taylors at a disadvantage.

As a huge pavlik fan this is going to be awkward saying. But by no means would i wager a dollar on pavlik in this fight. I think pavlik wins this fight 8 out of ten times and this isnt one of them. I know people in pavliks camp and some of his best friends and he just hasnt prepared properly for this fight. No matter what anyone is saying he hasnt. He has had alot of distractions since winning the title and i believe he has let some of it go to his head. I dont want to seem like i am bashing him so i will leave it at that and say he hasnt had no where near the right focus for a few different reasons. Tread very lightly wagering on this one. A focused properly trained pavlik destroys taylor but not this time.

For me this fight is 55-45 for Pavlik. Meaning there is a fair chance for a Taylor win.

I doubt it, Taylor is not a smart fighter, I think thats part of the reason Manny had a hard time working with him. Taylor is a very talented boxer, but when Pavlik sets traps for him in the there fight, I see Taylor falling in almost everytime.

actually just the first time on this site and giving my opinion on a few things. i would love to be wrong about the outcome but idont believe i am. just trying to save a few people a few dollars from a few things i know to b true. i will be the first person to admit i was wrong if i am. and remember what i said pavlik wins 8 out of ten times. im not hating on him.

  14. Taylor is not going to win this fight:-( he fought the best fight he could have possibly fought 5 months ago and was KO'D HARD:deal Pavlik was outjabbing him, outlanding him, and was pounding JT on the ropes at will with some heavy leather, and Pavlik has a huge Mental advantage knowing he blasted JT out of there last time..
You guy's betting on Taylor are PISSING YOUR $$ AWAY.:verysad
