The problem is the youth and conditioning of the other guys, morales has better boxing skills but he cant keep it up for 12 rounds and clearly win those rounds. I hate seeing him on the canvas, I hope he fights jmm or retires. There is no ther find I want to see him in.
He would end up on and stay on the canvas vs. Marquez without Winning gloves. There's no reason for this fight aside from the two of them being from the same generation.
Morales legs are gone and his ability absorb punches from light welters is amazing considering his age.But these guys are not featherweights and they pack a punch which has morales backing off.
Its just a fight many people have always wanted to see, its the only one missing from mini fab 4. Wouldnt it be fitting for both of them to fight each other late 2012 and hang em up, I honestly would be happy if it goes down like that. With marquez schooling rios in between in the summer at 140.
From their primes you could say Marquez has retained about 95% of everything he was (physically) while Morales i'd say is about 45% speaking realistically, it's a mismatch in their primes it would have been a fight worth seeing now it would be a disaster.
I agree he has taken to many hard punches already. One of my favorite fighters all time, but its time for him to hang them up.
Maybe your right and im just glorifying the fight, maybe it is better if he retires for good. Atleast he should be financially secure by now.
