Does anyone actually have a copy of the rules? I didn't like to see the fight stopped like that, but this isn't the first time something like this happened. They mentioned during the telecast about Witherspoon getting disqualified against Areola in an almost identical situation. No one really cared though because Chazz was getting beat down.

If the the ref has the discretion as to whether or not to dq in that situation, then the ref should have let the fight go on. If the rules state that the ref must dq the fighter in that situation, then no one is to blame but Molina's cornerman. Either way, there needs to be a rematch.

Rules are rules. Just like laws are laws. Stupid corner for coming in like that. Can that guy spell terminated? Kirkland was on his way to losing. Now, my feeling is that Kirkland can beat Bundrage. Molina was just a stylish nightmare.

Ever since I have been watching boxing, it has been the rule for every state. Wait, MF, just wait.

I don't get why ppl are saying the DQ was bull****. The round was not over, Molina was getting a count and his corner entered the ring. The rules state it's a DQ, pretty easy to understand.

If anything, the ruling of a KD was questionable.

The ref had no choice but to call a DQ...that wasn't the problem. The problem was that corrupt piece of **** judge Van Hoy who had Kirkland winning (!?). That guy has been in so many dubious decisions that it's amazing he still has a job....oh wait, this is boxing we're talking about.

Give me a f*cking break. That was shameful. The bell had rung. The guy coming through the ropes had ZERO bearing on the outcome of the fight. It's just more boxing biz corruption. Kirkland was getting his ass kicked, and the promoter/$$ had to find a way to save the cash cow. Boxing = Corruption. Well done, boxing. And HBO is just garbage personified. Those clowns should have been screaming robbery. But Kirkland brings the $$, so nobody complains all that much.

Just so i get this straight. You are saying that the ref should ignore the rules because Molina was winning and the guy entering the ring didn't help??

Wtf, the guy ducked his head through the ropes, then got out. Never came near the fighters. Take a point away, fine the team, whatever. Bottom line is, everyone who's not just some mindless boxing biz automaton that follows orders as given (meaning, you) thinks this was the biggest load of sh*t in boxing this year.

So you are saying the ref should ignore the rules, make up his own punishment just to suit YOUR sensibilities???

BTW, just being on the apron warrants a DQ. ANd the cornerman was completely in the ring disrupting the refs count.

Drones. Does anyone with a brain think Molina should have been DQ'd? Anyone? Seriously?
