A better question is why do you think Molina should be immune to the rules of boxing???? What makes him s special that his team does not have to adhere to the rules every other boxer has to?? Keith
I was kinda impressed with Molina tonight, he was cagey in there . . . you only really are breaking the rules if you get caught or stopped. That being said he was doing things that were so blatantly illegal that the ref should have been docking points all night. I had the sense all night was Kirkland unleashed his aggression he would take care of Molina in short order. I think that Kirkland was clearly on the way to finishing him off the next round and was pissed at the way it went down. I think there should be a rematch outside of Texas and with competent officiating! James gave this guy to much respect from the jump and should have steam rolled him at the opening bell.
the bell ****ing rang and all the guy did was hear that and started to put the stool down like he had done all the other rounds....thats a crock of ****ing **** and it wasnt really a knockdown if you want to get technical
No argument there. I don't believe it was a clear KD, but no arguments on Molina's behalf on that and the bell did ring. But, yes there is a but, ref is counting your man with a eight count so what is your silly ass running in there. Pay attention to what is gong on is what this moron should be doing. The ref even pushed his silly ass out of the ring. To be honest Ice, I felt the ref was playing favoritism towards Molina throughout the fight and it proves he is a good ref by going by the rules. PBF vs Zab, that should have been PBF first lost when Roger stormed into the ring. You can see it in PBF's face like, "oh, **** unc, what are you doing".
One judge had Kirkland ahead. . .and that last round would have obviosuly been 10-8 for James. Another KD of James over Molina and cards would have probably been dead even. Nobody would have complained if the referee had deducted a point for holding, which he should have.
Just f*cking weak. I can't imagine a boxing fan who didn't feel cheated by that outcome. Molina's corner made a mistake after the bell rang, ffs. Shameful.
You do know that clinching has been given de facto legitimacy in the Queensbury rules, right? 145 years of leniency > Strict interpretation of the rulebook.
I never saw the fight. Was he holding specifically while hurt or as part of the gameplan from the beginning? Because the only way a ref would ever take a point of is if it's the former.
Molina was kicking Kirkland's arse! The bell had already rung, so what not go into the ring? Ref is ignorant and probably crooked. Gale Van Hoy should have been banned from boxing years ago! She always gives the fight for her boxer. Remember all the other fights?
