The rise in 240k to 620k PPV should show how influential Dana White and the Fertita's were, not the other way around.

When the UFC, in it's early days was synonymous with the Gracie name, a megafight brought in 240k views. After Zuffa bought the UFC and was in the process of taking it mainstream the amount of buys that Gracie got for figthing Hughes tripled.

Not really, UFC 60 added an extra 200000 buys to the previous best PPV numbers

Only 3 cards in the Zuffa era out of 27 had topped the 240k from UFC 5 until Royce fought Matt. Ken Shamrock coming back was the catalyst for the steady rise in PPV numbers imo

You would have to say Dana White , The Fertitta's and everybody involved in that driving force at the UFC have with out doubt been the major influence on the sport

I hate to give an accolade like this to a non fighter/s , but it simply has to be said

In terms of fighters , influencing non MMA fans to watch our sport , in no particular order id list the following ; Fedor , Penn , Liddell , Frank Shamrock , Tito , Wanderlei , Couture , Anderson Silva , GSP ...............

Its men like these that makes a non fan a fan with one viewing , all of the above had / have more than just skills , they had / have the aura and the demeanour to match

Edit ; aura - slightly less in GSP's case but still a candidate for the current face of MMA
