Frocks comment is wrong on so many levels!

His opposition while it has been good is severely overrated. He is obsessed with zaghe and needs to realise he will never compare in any way shape or form.

What's cocky about saying your resume is better than someone elses ffs. It's called self belief that every fighter should have.

Calzaghe went on to fight a shot Roy Jones Jr and got floored.

Froch went on to fight, Dirrell, Kessler, Abraham, Johnson, Ward, Bute.

Calzaghe beat Kessler in his prime. Froch lost to Kessler who over the years lost some of his speed and accuracy. To equal that Froch must beat Bute in his prime.

THIS ! :good . Froch had/has better opposition than Calzaghe but obvious not better achievements in boxing . Also Froch has an interesting personality and he's "more contemporary" than Calzaghe ! :yep

I'm a big Froch fan, but he would not have a chance against Calzaghe. If Froch struggled with Ward, he'd be helpless against Calzaghe's constant and relentless attack. One of Carl's best qualities is his ability to rally late, as he has great stamina. Calzaghe had unbelievable stamina, and was very strong in 12th round in all of his fights. As much as I like Carl, Calzaghe will go down as the greater fighter, with the greater legacy no doubt.

:lol:Not likely, Calzaghe has been retired for a few years now yet im pretty sure he is still more well known than the still active Cobra.

Calzaghe and Ward fight different, Calzaghe cant do what Ward does and Ward cant do what Calzaghe did.

If you think Ward beating Froch is the reason Calzaghe would have done so, then You dont know **** about baaxing.

Ward likes to take advantage of range, either keep it up close where can impose his physical strength over his opponent, or Ward would keep it at range where he would have the speed and mobilty to potshot and keep out of harms way.

Calzaghe liked to keep it at midrange and slug it out, using his speed and workrate to outwork, his opponent while being the first to attack.

I think Calzaghe would probably beat Froch by a comfortable UD, but Froch will have his moments.

Froch would have a better chance vs a midrange slugger than a boxer who utilises range and infighting.

Ward is a fighter who likes to outbox and out maul. Calzaghe is a fighter who likes to outwork and outlast.

Froch can be outboxed as shown in the Dirrell, Taylor and Ward fights, but is not that easily outworked or outlasted as shown in the Kessler, Johnson and Pascal fights.

Lay off the boxrec and start watching boxing son.

Dom... casual finnish boxing fan knows Froch better than Joe already, at least it is pretty even. Big audience i mean some random Joe from Street does not have a clue about either man.

I like Bute and all but if Carl was to beat him it would say more about the misplaced hype a lot of people had given Lucian as opposed to Froch being a supremly talented fighter, i mean Bute's biggest victory thus far has been a 45yr old Johnson, if people dismiss Calzaghe's victory over Lacy as the exposure of a hypejob then why the **** should Carl get more credit for beating Bute unless Bute goes onto achieve more after the loss. The fight should tell us more about what we dont know about Bute rather than what we dont know about Froch, whom has proved himself to be a world class fighter that has found his level over the past couple of years, compare that to Bute who has not had these big fights (maybe not his fault) and thus not one person knows Lucian's capacity or his level as it were, it should be really interesting to find out if the hype has been justified or if Bute fails at his first major hurdle.:good
