Everybody is, we are all just waiting for the Klitchkos to retire then the whole division is open again, at a lesser standard ofcourse but its open.

I'd say so. He didn't stop him in as brutal a fashion as Helenius, but Liakovich was clearly winning the Helenius fight on points when the KO happened. He only won one or two rounds against Jennings. Some say he won none. It was tough to watch

It'll be interesting to see how Jennings does from now. It was a good enough performance to make a name for himself

Is it only me, or did it look like Liahkovich was fighting in slow motion?

People talk about how Jennings looked (and he did look pretty good in the fight). But Jesus, Liahkovich looked worse than ever. So painfully slow. The man should hang them up.

wow, I really dont think liakhovich was winning against Helenius. He had some nice inside work and connected with some hard shots but it was Helenius who landed those biggest shots in every round. It was a competive fight and liakhovich won some rounds with his activity but it was Helenius who was busting him up all night long. But gotta say that it was the best heavyweight fight of the year!

Helenius has WAY more one punch power than Jennings. But Bryant beat Liakovich from pillar to post, from bell to bell.

NO ONE has beaten Sergei like that. And I dare say......NO ONE ever will again. :nono

The kid looked like a young Holyfield last nite. Did I just say that out loud:D

Let's not take ANYTHING away from Jennings. The kid has stepped straight up in consecutive fights and has looked very impressive.

No ones calling him a world beater or saying he is "Simply the Best". But true fight fans are thrilled to see young blood fighting upwards rather than backwards, sideways, or can crushing.

Sergei was past prime before Helenius, but even after last nite, who would pick Price to beat him? Fury? Boystov?

As an American, and as a fightfan, Im thrilled to see a prospect fighting a contender and a former titlist. It's a breath of fresh air, and nothing should stale it like discrediting it b/c the opponent is 34 or 35. FFS, the HWCotW is 36 and 41.:deal

I am GENUINELY happy than at least some Americans are getting excited about their hw's once again. There is always little flame lighting and maybe it can burst on flames one day. :good

  11. Because you're the kind of guy who jumps on the bandwagon, roots for the favorite and only bets on the horse after he's already won. In other words, kind of weak.

  12. I have never given up on American heavies because I know the history of boxing. The next great American heavyweight can show up in some shitty venue or gym any day now or he might already be known to us. Mitchell,Jennings and maybe even Wilder. We just don't know for sure but it will happen.

I like Jennings, but for him to call a fearless warrior like Liakhovich a "*****" is totally ridiculous.
