Real talk from Dan Rafael on Kirkland vs. Molina

I don't always agree with the guy, but he justifiably went on a rampage and spewed some pure unadulterated TRUTH:

• Just watched end of Kirkland-Molina on DVR.Absolutely putrid DQ. Jon Schorle & Texas are an absolute DISGRACE! Crap like this ruins #boxing

• Even the knockdown Schorle credited Kirkland with was very, very questionable. Texas and Schorle might as well have taken Molina's wallet.

• Any casual fan who watched probably would be turned off of #boxing forever. I'm so angry over that ending

• And don't even get me started on Gale Van Hoye's HORRIFIC scorecard having Kirkland ahead. #horrible #miserable #disdusting

• I keep replaying of end of Kirkland-Molina. Pure Texas ineptness. Why would a promoter go there? WHY? Too bad because Texas has GREAT fans.

• Texas & Jon Schorle seriously impacted Carlos Molina's LIFE and CAREER with their HORRIBLE display. I hope they can't sleep over their theft

• James Kirkland was robbed too because this wasn't his fault. He wanted rd 11-12 to see if he could get a clean KO. He deserved better too.

• All the dopes blaming @GoldenBoyBoxing dont know what they're talking about. They had options on Molina so they were protected whoever won.

• I wanna challenge Gale Van Hoy to a duel! I can't lose because he can't see anyway!!!!!

• I had 1 prominent Texas #boxing official tell me after the fight last night they have been campaigning for Van Hoy to be put out to pasture.

• Sick thing is when I tweeted Kirkland-Molina judges & we saw Gale Van Hoy everyone said he'd turn in horrible card. Congrats. We were right.

• And where were the Texas inspectors? NOT DOING THEIR JOB to keep the corner out of the ring. THAT IS THEIR JOB.

• There's a difference between the letter of the law and spirit of the law. Texas/Jon Schorle used ZERO common sense.

• Molina did hold but Schorle NEVER warned him, another HORRIBLE call. If Molina wasnt warned why would he stop?

• Jon Schorle made Joe Cooper look like referee of the decade.

Well, he does have a vested business interest to maintain good diplomatic relations with GBP.

95% of his rant was unadulterated truth, then. :yep

 

Eh, they collided and Molina fell. Kirkland was swinging his arm but it wasn't really a clean knockdown where the primary cause was a punch.

Kirkland catches Molina while flopping around and out of balance with that short left hand and upends him.

Sure, he probably wouldn't have gone down without the punch - but you can argue he wouldn't have gone down had they not both been wildly swinging and tangling and tumbling together off the ropes, either.
