Well when it comes to brain explosions I think Hayne and Slater are even

Brett Stewart is always calm and composed...

:rofl @ WOR saying Stewart and Hayne didn't come close in 2008 and 2009... "Slater was the national player." That's true... But so was Kade Snowden and ****** Hodges... Neither deserved to be there.

    Not quite :D

He gets scan results this arvo. The eagles were great saturday night, full strength and you probably nail it. Didnt have much luck go your way either. Bias aside, i wouldnt have given nightingale that try. Play was completed for mine.

Georgie rose dropped for not losing weight when asked too and obviously not training hard enough.

Anyway, eagles are still ripping in for each other. Good signs :good

& snowden hasnt been there since & Hodges only now & again, but both centre & prop, prop especially there tends to be a higher than average turnover, whereas Slater is a member of the "spine", a constant member, one of the most important members of a team & noboody has seriously looked like taking over his position for Australia, other players might have shined every now & again ( i bet Slater was still playing consistently & better than average at the same time) but slater is a constant, he doesnt get the plaudits because people just expect it now

Well, first 2 that spring to mind are Greg Inglis (

) and Greg Bird (Sharks now Titans).

You reckon they should have rubbed them out for life for doing that?

I agree that Slater is the much more consistent Fullback. That isn't even under question... He is a faster version of Darren Lockyer when he was playing Fullback.

But he gets plenty of credit.

As should Hayne and Stewart for playing so well in those years.

Whether or not Slater drops off in form, he would never be dropped from the Kangaroos regardless of form, because they pick on loyalty which is crap. How many times have players been picked out of form, just because Sheens likes them?

Slater deserves his spot, thats for sure however.

I was very pleased with Manlys effort and enjoyed the game. I wouldnt have given the Nightingale try either, that boy really knows how to do things the ugly way :D

Inglis & Bird were both found not guilty

Alledgedly Inglis was struggling with his now wife when she was trying to hurt herself & we all know Bird stupidly threw a glass & it all went arse up, but neither kicked the **** out of a woman whilst she was curled up in the feotal position

anyway its nice to see you back you ****ing germ

I see your point, but in the same vein, how many times have QLD stuck with players that havent been setting the world on fire, but that loyalty seems to come to the fore when the going gets tough during origin, i think with some players class is permanent

It wasnt a try...you cant wrestle and jump and squeeze and scurry your way over the line from off the deck. Some times no matter how many replays etc...its just not a try.

But nightingale....id say pfp one of the strongest in the comp, safe, cleans up a lot of mess, on the spot.....damn good player. For a kiwi

He is a good footy player but terribly cringeworthy to watch at times.

What the **** is going on with him in this pic :rofl

He's unique in his demeanour...a bobble head. Even when he walks he tilts his head from side to side.
