not sure if this thread will be popular or not, but i'll give it a go. mma version of particular boxers, think of any? anderson silva could maybe be the muhammad ali of the ufc. wanderlei silva possibly the joe frazier of mma. similarities, that type of thing. pretty sure there'd be boxers that match with chuck, rampage, and nick diaz?[a boxer who is/was mental!] is there a mma fighter that strikes fear into his opponents like liston and tyson used to?
in what respect are you making similarities?? if your going by personality then ali and silva are miles apart
I'd assume he's going more by style/ring presence/aura In that regard I'd equate Jon Jones to Tyson. Young, hungry champ. He finishes brutally and looks all but untouchable. I hope the latter part of their respective careers play out a little differently.
jones lacks aggression to be a version of tyson, he has been too cautious of late tyson looked to finish from the get go whereas jones is way more tactical of late playing it safe, something mike never done in a few years JJ will be like lennox lewis i reckon, great champ who doesnt get the full credit he deserves because of his personality and cautious of engaging style dan henderson bernard hopkins wanderlai silva jake lamotta roberto duran hector lombard forrest griffin micky ward
The way he's smashing folks reminds me of Tyson and Foreman. Problem is Jones is trying to fit the mould of Ali/Ray Leonard. Jake Ellenberger=Julian Jackson ;-)
i was just throwing a few out there flea not much thought going into them, that one was both were animals inside and outside the ring, especially in training (when he was motivated for duran), aggression lombard tyson would probably be better i like the aldo pac one kenflo gene tunney GSP wlad
