In the third round a shot to the right ankle should not be landed before the 2:00 minute mark as this is unsporting and can be seen as a sign of disrespect to the opponent.

This fight took place in 1838 and was scheduled for 900 12 hour rounds, after the third round a shot was aimed at Boden's right ankle with only 1:59 minutes of the allotted 12 hours to go, it bruised his ankle and has ever since been called "The unwritten miller rule of boxing".
