You don't need to have a poll to figure that one out. Of course racism isn't as big an issue to whites as it is to blacks, whites don't deal with racism anywhere near as often as blacks do.

It still doesn't mean you need to search out racism where it isn't really happening, because there's enough of it out in the open. Not sure what the point is in making something out so little.

 

Imagine how this **** would've blown up if Lampley said "go gorilla on him" like Wolfe did

Kinda true? The only thing truer then that would be if he said "go all convicted armed robber on his ass".

 

Lampley should have said, Go jewish investment banker on him. Then he would surely have been fired like so many of seem to want.

Who are you to suggest that Lampley has "no familiarity" with that world? If anything that is racist because you assume white people know nothing about being poor, as if only blacks are poor or know about it. atsch Insulting 2 races at once there.

Besides, I can just as quickly assume that YOU have no familiarity with that world... I know just as much about your upbringing as you know about Lampley's -- nothing.

The ghetto in America contains both blacks and whites. So for you to assume this statement is racist you are implying that ONLY blacks live in the ghetto. Talk about ****ing racist...

Lampley never said or implied anything about "people from that upbringing inherently having an animal they just switch on inside of them." He wasn't generalizing about black people in general, or all people from the ghetto. He was stating known facts about the fighter in question... the guy could have been black, white, cuban or asian.

For further clarification, this is an excerpt from an ESPN article about Kirkland:

[James Kirkland is a fighter.

He has always been a fighter, from his earliest days, from the time when, fatherless and dirt poor, he roamed the streets of East Austin.

"When I was growing up, we didn't always have the best of things, so I would always get in trouble," Kirkland said. "We didn't have it, we had to take it, we sure couldn't earn it. I was always fighting … my mom put all my brothers and me into boxing."]

So it was previously publicly known that Kirkland is, in fact, from the ghetto, and that he was a loose cannon, getting into fights with other people from the ghetto and committing robberies and doing violent ****. Now you can see that it wasn't some knock on all people from the ghetto, but Kirkland specifically since he is from the ghetto and was known to engage in street fights AKA "go ghetto" on people.

I know plenty of people from the ghetto, white and black, that have said this exact term "go ghetto." And not once has anyone ever mentioned that it was racist. It is an accepted phrase and only a hyper politically correct, racially sensitive douchebag would take offense to it.
