Toney vs McCallum 1 and 2. The first fight was brilliant. Damn he had some skills. A hell of chin too. Going to watch the Nunn fight then see RJJ clown him
Heres my scorecard for the fight, couldnt really understand how most people had it quite so close tbh. http://www.eastsideboxing.com/forum/showthread.php?t=311853
Salido vs Lopez 2! Insane action. Juanma spoiled it a little with his post fight interview though. Very good stoppage.
Charles V Marshall 2 - awesome fight between two awesome boxers. I watched the few rounds I could find of Charles V Marciano 1 as well, enjoiyed what I saw but it just made me want to find a full version, I'm a bit pissed off I can't find one other than on WBVA to which I need my ratio to get a little higher before I go DL some more classics. Also watched Hong v Carrasquilla , some epic come from behind stuff right there.
The Carasquilla fight was great. The kid was only 17! And he nearly had the tough Korean out of there. Hong mixed in very good (and sometimes great) circles.
Can anyone recommend some quality fights that are on YouTube that last say 30mins that I could watch on my dinner at work? Cheers
He lost to Juan Alberto Rosas in November, on the undercard of Arce-Angkota(I think it was him, anyways) I believe. You might remember Topo as the dude who was the defining victory for Mijares on his comeback from that 3 fight disaster. He's also fought the likes of Montiel(L), Simphiwe Nongqayi(W), AJ Banal(L), and Rodrigo Guerrero(L) amongst others. The most I can tell you about that fight though is the details BoxRec give though.:conf That Rosas won via Majority Decision and that Tete was deducted a solitary point in the 12th round(he would've lost anyways it seems, judging from the scores). I've scoured the web for as much as a detailed report on the fight, never mind footage, and haven't found 'nowt.:verysad Which is a shame, because stylistically it SHOULD be a good'un, with Tete's rangy, southpaw counter-punching against Topo's unrefined and raw aggression.
Yeah I remember the guy. And yeah, a pretty decent prospect vs journeyman fight that. Tete looks good, but isn't getting there IMO. Still, fun and one to watch, as long as it lasts. What's up for the IBF title holder next? Hopefully he and Marquez can get it on, but lighter unifications rarely happen so I won't hold my breath. Either Vs Viloria will do for now. I'd pick Moruti to beat Viloria.
Luis Manuel Rodriguez vs Emile Griffith I. A lot of clinching going on early in te fight done by Griffith but the Cuban played ball all night after that.Interesting to watch in the aftermath of the Kirkland/Molina fight-Don Dunphy actually mentioned during the telecast that Rodriguez held to much. Rodriguez with the show shine stuff,Griffith with the harder punches ending the Cuban's undefeated run and deservingly so imo.
From what I've seen Rodriguez got the better of all their subsequent meetings. Griffith was an expert spoiler. Rodriguez truly one of the greatest P4P fighters of all time.
