I had a lot of respect for Antonio Tarver and Glen Johnson, for ditching the belts to make a fight between the two top men in the division.

stonehands.......i suggest we just relax, read the posts and be serene in knowing we are correct..

as to anyone winning four titles, i don't know the weights under flyweight but as i recall a fighter can fart and drop drop down to the lower level. so it may just be possible that the smallest fighter could gain the eight ounces necessary and win the next higher title. he could go to superfly fly by skipping breakfast and even bantamweight if he was as good as jimmy wilde.

I can assure you he'll have pac winning 4 titles.

Whilst i'm not a massive believer in the relevance of the lineal title in today's arena, I have looked a lot into it myself (nowhere near as much stone mind you) and i'm certain he'll agree that pac won 4 crowns against sasakul, mab, jmm and hatton.

Completely agree. With the backing of the ring belt and the popularity it has, decisions like this should be more and more common.

Ray Leonard beat Benitez (WKO15), went 1-1 (1) vs. Duran (L15 and WKO8), and beat Hearns (WKO14) at WW. The loss to Duran was very close... by one point on 2 cards, 2 points on the other.

At MW Leonard beat Hagler (W12).

Two legit World Titles. Won belts at JMW, SMW, and LHW as well,

Ray is a top 10 ATG in my mind, but in now way should his 168 or 175 pound belts count. He fought a mediocre champ in Lalonde 7 pounds below Lalondes weight and this for Lalondes title and the vacant 168 pound title, which Lalonde was not ranked at 168. He just did that fight to try and beat Hearns to 5, which Hearns beat Ray to since he won the WBO title 3 days before Ray beat Lalonde.

That's good stuff. BUT, yes, Pacquiao has four of the real thing. Fly, Feather, and two juniors. Impressive, but Armstrong's feat overshadows it because it's three of the big 8, the glamour divisions.

Ray's got THREE legit world titles.

That Jr. Middle title bout against Kalule put him in stead with a line that went back to 1969 and Freddie Little.

You should consider reconsidering that. Griffith was recognized by the Austrian Board of Control --that's it. Not even the BBBC or the EBU recognized him.

Meh emile had recently beaten moyer about the limit.

I've no idea why they decided to sanction moyer. Unless i'm missing something regarding his opposition?
