    Thats the sad thing.

Listen... Leonard fought toe to toe for 15 rounds with the best version of Roberto Duran on Duran`s best night....
He outboxed Wilfred Benitez for 15 rounds before stopping him....
He walked thru Tommy Hearns best shots for 12 rounds before taking him apart in rounds 13 & 14....
And pulled off a near miracled by beating the 11 year unbeaten middlewieght champion Marvin Hagler having only fought once in 5 years & not having fought at all for 3 years himself....

**** off with mayweather & pacquiao, those 2 **** bags wont even fight each other, no chance they`d fight Sugar Ray Leonard.

No... He stopped a prime Benitez a defensive wizard, a prime Hearns who was very hard to land clean against, and Floyd Sr. Those guys were quick handed mobile fighters. Not only did Leonard have a solid chin but he was a great combination puncher too. Floyd and Manny both get overwhelmed by SRL. He faced the best lightweight, the best junior middleweight, and arguably the best middleweight of all time. And Floyd lost to Castillo and Pacquiao to Marquez and Floyd and Pacman won't even fight each other much less Maravilla. They have absolutely nothing on Sugar Ray Leonard, Duran, or Hearns.

You just can't see it.. :huh

Pac will fight Leonard using all of his arsenals.. Pac would fight him as the challenger, he will bring the fight to SRL.. It'll be the way he fought Oscar, Left straight lead plus lateral movements, watch how fast he throws his combinations when they get close then moves out.. Somehing SRL has never faced before.. :deal

A little too much adulation for the sugar man here. He lost most of the rounds to Hearns. If I remember he won about three before catching Tommy with the KO.

In the fundamentals, Floyd is better, especially in defence. Both men are equally fast. IMO, Leonard gets the decision here because of a greater volume of offence.

Against Pac, I will again pick Leonard at 147, but mainly due to natural size and power. Early Pac (teenage years) was perhaps open to body shots, but current Pac has not shown that particular weakness. Leonard has more power and probably a better chin, but Pac's unusual style will befuddle him. A stoppage is distinctly possible, but a points win for SRL is more likely.

Both modern fighters are competitive with Leonard, and one or both may eventually surpass him.

    Excellent point.
But that fight above all proves that he really was the most complete fighter of his and many other eras.
He always found a way when it really mattered.

Its like I can see a lot of people posting the same thing about Floyd and Manny a decade from now about the best boxers on that time.. I'd like to give an Example..

    10 years from now..

Year 2022, Nonito Donaire is the pound for pound number 1 boxer today.. How do you think he will do against Prime Mayweather or Prime Pacquioa?

Some will just say, Donaire is not on their league.. He will be schooled by Mayweather and he won't last 12 rounds with Pacquioa.. He won't beat guys like Cotto, Margarito, Mosley, Marquez, Oscar..

SRL is just overrated today, just like Mayweather and Pacquioa will be overrated 10 years from now.. :deal

As much as I saw how Duran fight, Pac would brutally put a beating on him.. And Mayweather would pick him apart..

And we are talking about SRL vs Floyd or Manny here.. As much as weight is concerned, its @147..

If Donaire is #1 in 2022 I'll wear an av saying Vitali is better than Ali and Mayorga was slicker than Ray.
And a caption of your own choosing.:deal

I honestly don't know.I wouldn't think Floyd and Manny would be at the top in 2012 if I thought about it in 2002.
    I wouldn't even hazard a guess,but I don't think it'll be Donaire.Then again I haven't exactly covered myself in glory making 10 year predictions.

I know how pac fights, I`ve seen him fight, I`ve also seen Leonard & Oscar fight, Leonard is far superior to even a prime DLH never mind the ghost of Oscar that pac beat.

pacquiao has ZERO shot in this fight, its a complete mismatch, if you think otherwise then I cannot help you anymore.

    1. To say pac would brutally beat up Duran shows your ignorance, it also proves your a bit of a liar because you say you have seen Duran fight but if you had you would never utter such **** comments.

    2. I know we`re talking about 147 lbs, Leonard fought Duran, Benitez & Hearns at 147 & either of those versions of Leonard would destroy pacquiao & beat floyd clearly as well.

Pac would also donimate prime ODLH.. :deal

Its not a mismatch.. Its @147, Pac has a good chance of beating SRL..

If the welterweight version of Duran could take it to SRL, Pac can also take the fight to SRL.. I know its going to be hard but Pac can also take a lot of beating.. Cotto beat him up badly, but Pac never went down.. Pac still continued to move forward and stop the guy..
