My thoughts exactly... dude cant throw a combination to save his life. But the rest of it looked like rust. Sparring doesnt mean anything.
Looks like I'm not the only one who's noticed that Floyd is much bigger these days. Only the *****s deny it (because Floyd's ducking a guy he has every advantage over). :hi: Bball a shameless nuthugger. :deal
Henry was doing a pretty good impression of Cotto in terms of how he moved, right down to the little skip that MAC sometimes does when he's moving side to side. Mayweather seemed to be able to walk him down without too much difficulty, and seemed perfectly composed even when getting tagged with some pretty good shots. Plus...Mayweather's still training. Somehow, I don't think his stamina will be an issue in the upcoming Cotto fight.
He weighed 150 on fight night against ortiz. He's 1 or 2lbs heavier than Pac. They are virtually the same size.
Yep. I don't like to read too much into sparring, but I do expect Floyd to stick a jab in Cotto's face to control pace throughout. I wouldn't be surprised to see him use a counter jab... pumping it immediately after Cotto does (pulling back or slipping a bit to avoid Cotto's before throwing his own).
Makes perfect sense :good If you watch he was actually twisting and dipping at the waste more than usual, so lateral movement to avoid the jab rather than block, then use his own. Doubt he'd show his game plan in sparring, but it's great to get a peak. Cotto will watch that 20 times.
It's gott to be furstrating to hear Mayweather laugh at you in the cornor when you're teeing off on him. Even if your landing it's like to get into your head. I'm sure he dose this in real fights too.
You are a ****ing moron if you think they are the same size. Quit the sorry excuse-making. Floyd has every single advantage (except for speed and power) over Pac, yet has repeatedly derailed the fight. Floyd's ducking a Junior Welterweight. :hi:
Floyd's size IS an advantage, no doubt. Just like Sergio's size IS an advantage over Floyd. I just find it hilarious that Floyd is running from some tiny ass dude. :hi:
Floyd looked good. But it's to be expected in sparring. As a few stated, he's working his jab more, and he'll need to, since Cotto has a pretty good one of his own. Floyd's speed and timing will make a HUGE difference if they trade jabs. I did see the sparring partner get a few left hooks landed. That's Cotto's money shot. But this is early sparring.
A junior WW whos fans claim is an 8 division world champion up to JMW :tong A Junior WW who refused to meet Marquez at the 140lb JWW limit and instead had the Mexican venture to 144. (After originally proposing 147) :tong
