It's a joy watching this guy in the ring. Just amazing. Too slick, too black. Team #SBA

    Damn time flys.

Ortiz landed a few good ones, and Mayweather took them well.
Ray Leonard would compensate for his long lay offs by sparring furiously, almost as savagely as a real fight. (He actually got knocked out in sparring once) I think Mayweather uses that same intensity, same philosiphy to compensate for his own inactivity.

 Absolutely. A little reminder never hurts, especially for a defensive specialist.

I agree about the jabbing. One ting I'd like to see is Cotto up the pace some. The best way to get floyd is to keep him out of his comfort zone and letting him pick his shots. Make him counter on the fly instead. I think it's Cotto's best bet to catch him or hurt him.

    In that one fight!

Earlier on, against Spinks he was 146/7 and against Clottey he was 148!

Floyd rehyrdates to 150-152 pacquiao - 148, there is no weight advantage. There is a height/reach advantage though.

Reminded me of the old Cotto, the one who fought Quintana. Todays version has a few more dimensions.

I think Floyd did excellent staying relaxed in there. What I did find interesting was from 2:28-2:40 he really didn't like being pushed around or pushed back where he had almost no room to work with and resembled his struggle with JLC. Depending what Cotto we get we'll see how this fight turns out. His timing was there too. Sp did a good job too.

Well if you hook with the hooker you get KOed if you jab the jabber you could take away some of his advantage. I think that the saying is right most of the time. Sexy-Dzinziruk a recent example for that.

Jabbing with the jabber has a few effects :

    1. You stop your opponent from totally dictating the rythm of the fight.

    2. While he's jabbing he's thinking, if you jab back then you prevent or at least restrict their thought time.

    3. You give yourself a platform to build from.

Always teach my guys to jab. I'll spend hours working on that one punch, because 9 times out of 10 it's vital.
