So, because GI and Bird's partners were the ones that made the accusation, that makes them guilty? I see your point, but why is it so impossible to not discard the fact that GI's girl, or Bird's for that matter may have been a typical cant handle her **** and goes off her tits type, etc. How many men do you know who've been a victim of their girl friends, ex's etc exagerating calling the cops on them, and putting AVO's out against them for actions that werent violent or threatening in the slightest?

There are many guys out there who are victims of this sort of thing. Maybe, just maybe, GI was one too.

Yes, Gallop may have handled the situation badly. Still, it's unfair to blame all of Stewarts misery on Gallop, its not as if he had any control over the charges sticking. All he was doing was simply trying to protect the code, which had taken a hammering from bad press during his time at the top. I'm not surprised he may have assumed the worst. Stewarts misery wouldnt have any less miserably if he wasnt stood down. He still would have copped it from everyone outside of the game, and copped it on the field as well.
