This is by far one of the more valid point in this thread.

This is why I lost faith in Pac.
All he did against JMM was this when he was clearly getting more success with playing the counterpuncher role.
He was connecting the right hook like crazy and countering JMM with the lead left quite nicely.

His balls over goes over his head since he's in it to "please the fans" so even though it was apparent he wasn't winning being a "calculated" aggressor, that's still all he did.

Those fighters are not Floyd Drug Testing worthy. We are talking about PAC here, the one and only fighter that must take the Floyd Olympic Test. And even when Pac agreeed the the roadblock started. Don't say that all the other Floyd opponent took it, that's just to help Floyd save face because he asked PAC first.

 

After 24+ rounds and more than a year's worth of training for one fighter, he better do.

Any neutral boxing fan knows that the first match was Pac's.

The 2nd and 3rd installments were the ones you can give to JMM.

 

It's not really "not being able to handle".

It's a simple fundamental of boxing: Orthodox fighters are prone to the southpaw left straight as are southpaws to the orthodox straight right.
Add the fact that's FMJ's bread and butter shoulder roll is not 100% effective against the southpaw stance and you got a case.
Furthermore, Mayweather's jab to the body is the perfect punch to counter for Pac's solid right hook - Pac's bread and butter.

That's what makes the fight mildly interesting really (among the tons of other dynamics between the two).

I don't get why the fanboys are getting worked up over these simple truths.

I don't remember TBH, but I have it Pac by 1 or 2 points, courtesy of the KD's.
Admittedly, JMM won more rounds, but not in the dominating fashion that he did lately.
It was mostly neck and neck the entire fight.

He was able to time the power punches for sure, but Pac was simply a dynamo that night that he wasn't looking "very good" as he did on the 2nd and 3rd fights.

 

He doesn't. At least not that much.
But he's MORE UNCOMFORTABLE fighting them than potshotters.

 

Hence my point

Pac scored 3 knock downs in the first round, and JMM figured him out and schooled him for the majority of the rest of the fight.

Fights are obviously not scored on just rounds but as you say JMM won more. Imo pac didn't look great past the opening few rounds.
