Seeing as most fans did NOT want to see a comeback, he did himself proud in the last 18 months or so.

One of the toughest men ever to step in the ring. A true ATG.

I'm not a massive fan, but you've got to appreciate him as a fighter.

Went to war with Barrera, thrice, was a monster in his day beating some excellent contenders. Can't forget him beating Pacquiao, that's just sooo legendary, when he was faded aswell. Makes it sweet because I hate Pacquaio. To just outhustle him and then turn southpaw in the last is magical. Then to come back, yonders past his prime and give hell to fighters many years younger than him made me respect him so much more.

    What a fighter.

    :deal Quality post.

Let's look at Morales' ability, just quickly. When he wanted too, he could box very well behind his jab and pick his spots, in fact he's relied on his smarts more than ever in his recent run, even though he's lacked the height and ranginess he had at the lower weights. He was a great all-round puncher, not a K.O artist per se but a damaging and persistent digger.

Of course, we'll remember him for trading on his ridiculous chin. Brilliant!

Good luck in retirement El Terrible

P.S: he deserves to chill and get fat, but he could impose some serious knowledge if he wants to train the next breed of Mexican hardnuts.

To still be involved in some epic battles after his inactivity, and at his age, is a massive testament.

Exactly! An old timer in every sense. Mad to think he's only in his mid-thirties! He's been fighting at the top level since such a young age.

Won some, lost some. It happens. He's ****ing great, simple as.
