Holy ****, this thread is from 2008. Wlad was already considered the dominant force. And that was since 2006. He had defeated #1 Byrd and had also beaten Peter, who was #2 in 2008. Then we saw more fighters being added to Wlad's resume: Ibragimov, Chagaev, Haye. The problem persists: Wlad can lose against anyone, anytime, just as he lost against Sanders and Brewster when he was close to his prime. However, I must say, that will not be a problem when considering one of the best unbeaten streaks in heavyweight boxing: if he beats Thompson it will be 8 years, and counting.
8+ year streak of dominance plus Olympic Gold medal = egg chinned mediocre champ who will leave no legacy. Gotta love ESB
wlad will stay on top as long as the fire still burns. I say this because he is never satisfied.... we have meetings and talk about what can be done better after each camp. Everything from the food to the type of training to the sparring. We are always looking for ways to improve. Thats is what keeps him on top
Of course Wlad will not dominate until 2011! As soon as he meets another big puncher, like a Peter rematch or that British guy who beat the iron chinned Enzo Mac in 2, and top class Mormeck. Both those guys would beat Wlad easily by the way, let alone that Haye caracter himself. Wlad is a med... Hey, wait a minute..... :rofl
It's funny looking back on all those Klitschko haters making fools of themselves. And also, so many that have just gave up over the years...
:good This makes Wlad so sucsessful. He looks and analyses his mistakes and work on them. Great sportsman and Champ.
Thank´s for bringing it up. Wlad is the No. 1 Heavyweight :happy:happy:happy:happy:happy:happy:happy This content is protected This content is protected
RIP, Manny. You helped a guy that was stopped by Ross Puritty, Corrie Sanders and Lamon Brewster turn himself into a guy going on an eight-year-winning streak at the top of his division, including over six years holding a major world title and ten unified title fights with even getting knocked off of his feet. What a proper legendary trainer. Granted, you somehow failed to make him knock everyone out in the first round, but you know. Nobody's ever been perfect at their job.
