    To be completely blunt, he is one of the few genuinely great fighters this era has produced!

    An all-time very good to excellent fighter, who although initially seemingly just a media creation, did surpass expectations, to be in with a shout of being an all top top ten Mexican.

    If it is truly is the end, well done Señor Morales, you helped define boxing in the first decade of the 21st Century.

    He's basically said he's either going to retire now or have one final fight later this year and then retire.

    Spot on. I remember feeling tense prior to his fight with Maidana getting underway. I expected him to get stopped by a fighter he'd have had no problems outboxing during his prime. His performance that night might not be considered one of his career highlights, but for me it is. To put up such a good fight against one of the toughest fighters in a division well above your best weight-class when you're past your best? Legend.
