i wander if he regrets ducking pavlik because right after he retired hopkins put a beat down on pav. even thought i still think kelly would have beat calslappy
He deserves to be in the HOF I think, but I wasn't a fan of his style in general no, nor his WBO period. He's not a fighter I'd say I found particularly exciting nor one who enthralled me with a great technique. A good fighter, but not really my cup of tea all in all. Each to their own.
yes, this is failey. in his book, coke boy is THE G.O.A.T. check his history, he's never once said anything negative about his daddy. everyday him and headgiver fight over who gets his left nut while MVC and silencer fight for his right one.
I think the attribute I like most about him is that he put 150% into preparation for every fight he had. He was the ultimate workhorse when it came to preparation which shows in his biggest weapon, a higher fitness level than the other man. it didnt matter whether he was facing Kessler or Eubank, or just one of the string of bums he defended against, he always trained like he was preparing for Ivan Drago. That commitment to train appeals in a sort of high school crazy jock friday night lights kind of way, give it all to your absolute limit no matter who the opponent is.
But Bailey Joe was a paper champ wasnt he ? He was not an alphabet holder nor the lineal champ ? How was he the best he just had the old title Jones had- right ?
