Mayweather sparring footage [VIDEO]

Who says he can't you LOL when did you become THE authority on boxing Gander....and secondly Floyd has fought 42 pro fights and over 100 amatuer he has thrown combination in the VAST majority of them. Only recently can you say he doesn't throw any meaningful combinations.

Not to mention he has great accuracy and the best timing so that combined with his other assets says he is a great offensive fighter, it's just he is an EVEN greater defensive fighter.

You cannot win fights without an offense even if your defense is through the roof you HAVE to be able to hit your opponents and Mayweather does this with ease as we have seen.

Here you go lying to try and back up your B.S claims you cannot name me 1 fighter (B or C level) who can fight going backwards as well as forwards. Do you know why because fighting backwards is incredibly difficult I know because I have tried it.....MOST boxers cannot do them equally as well.

Zab is a great boxer, got the heart of a midget but a great boxer with blazing fast hands....he gave Floyd problems for 4 rounds and then got a beating. You see this is the problem that Floyd has set the bar so high that even lose 3/4 rounds is considered a bad night for him.

Oscar is known for having a good defense not a Mayweather all time great defense but a solid defense, do you even know that Mayweather SR was training Oscar for 7 years you think any fighter under Sr for that long wont have a defense.....we've even seen Oscar used the shoulder roll (those of us who realise he had a boxing career before he fought Pacquiao)

Mayweather was fighting a much bigger and heavier and stronger man in Oscar at a weight he was unfamilar with and did a good job!

His nearest rival officially got beaten 3 times, and got gift decisions against JMM and has looked horrible in a number of fights....yet you want to moan about his combination punching? LOL!

The fact remains I will take the likes of Eddie Mustafa, Nazim Richardson, Buddy McGirt, word over yours, whether it makes you lose sleep or not Floyd is one of THE most complete boxers we have ever seen.

 

I've seen most of his pro fights and he's never thrown combinations with any kind of consistency. He's a potshot artist. I dont know what fights your watching. Ask Emmanual Steward about that, he's been ringside for much of his fights and he makes the point ever time.

There's nothing about him that says hes a great offensive fighter. He does have great accuracy, but his opposition also has something to do with that.

Floyd is a defensive fighter through and through; calling Floyd an 'offensive fighter' is a nonsense statement to begin with.

First of all its absolutely not true Floyd can fight as well going forwards and backwards. We've seen him get caught the most and off his game when he's going forward.

But most boxers should be able to fight back or forwards to some level. It doesnt make you Bruce Lee.

Why are you bringing Pacquiao into the discussion? This has nothing to do with Pacquiao. This is where you start looking like a troll. I agree that Pac isnt good at cutting off the ring, in fact he has quite a few flaws. Every fighter has flaws. I've watched them , you need to back and refresh your memory. He's never never been a serious combination puncher, period. He shown spurts of it, and hes had moments here and there, but he's mostly into single punches, sometimes he mixed them up together, but rarely ever throws fluid combinations.

Zab isnt a great boxer, he's B-level and he was given worse beatings and schoolings by other fighters. Oscar was completely over the hill when Floyd fought him and he made Floyd look totally ordinary. Weight wouldn't have made a difference.

This is taking too much of my time, I got a life to lead and a gym thats calling me!

 

But the trainer has a lot to do with preperation and if his preperation isn't as good, it will make a world of a difference considering the fact that Cotto is an elite fighter. So it does make a difference. Everything starts in the gym first, than your skills does the rest in the ring. I just feel that he's underestimating Cotto a little because he thinks it's gonna be an easy night, just like he thought it would be an easy night when Mayweather fought Jose Luis Castillo, and he got shocked.

I think he said he doesnt wear the head guard with the protection that goes across the nose, because you dont feel the shots as much.

But Ishe Smith also said the week of the Shane fight he was sparring without any head gear.
