I dont see either coming out with two wins over these two at their best...just watched Mosely-dlh one ad honestly those two were the best welterweights to share the ring since Leonard-Hearns....DLH Had a disputed loss to trinidad and mosely was undefeated idk they'd have beat both of that time

I agree, the 2000 version of both beats either guy. This fight was great btw! Was an action fight where both guys used HIGH leve skill! I hate posters who think action fights ONLY come from face first brawlers.

DLH - SSM was a marvelous exaple of how a boxing match can be entertaining without rocky style fighting.

But no they don't beat pacquiao or mayweather simple as that.

true IMO Leonard-Benitez was a great fight with two technicians...when skill is even, will and heart comes into play...Oscar had alot to prove in that fight, he used to wrong game plan in the first fight and IMO did enough to beat Shane the second time around....IMO Manny would lose to both considering both had fast hands real power at 147 and skills counterpunch to.....Mayweather would lose a decision to both but i could see him pulling out a win based on skill and defense. Mosely always had problems with superior boxers with a jab, ODLH would win on points against floyd because he was younger, threw more punches with power and ODLH jab at welter and lower was great

If Manny couldnt track down a 40 year old mosley who used movement what would he do against a 28-29 year old mosley who punched is bunches with more speed and confidence...Many dont know how to fight moving backwards and if a 130 Morales and Marquez could beat or trouble him...Mosley and DLH primed would clearly beat him....Mayweather would lose to one of them or both his skill level and adaptability is his trump card but still...people forget how great these guys were a decade or more ago true greats

Mayweather is May and Pac is Pac. Can't combine on poll.

If Oscar had fought on his toes, he'd of beat Shane that night.

Mayweather would have beaten any version of Oscar or Shane.

    Pacquiao not so much.

Good thread, difficult one to consider.

I can see 2000 Shane Mosley beating Floyd and Pac, that version of SSM really was a physical phenomenon.

I can see that Oscar beating them too, but I can also see Pac outspeeding him and beating him on points, and I can see Floyd outslicking him and doing the same.

And yet I think if Oscar and Shane had fought again straight away, Oscar would've won (as I believe he did and by FIVE POINTS when they eventually rematched).

Tell you one thing, it would have been one hell of a 4-man tournament!!

Manny would have been too small to deal with the heavy handed Mosley, I believe from his dominate showing against Oscar he gives any version of the 147, non boxing, pseudo brawler De La Hoya.

Mayweather, the fights both would have turned out the same way, he would UD Mosley, and Oscar would SD, this time legitimately

:smoke what people dont notice is all fast fighters arent great boxers...Mosely never was and Manny isnt....had ODLH used the game plan he had in the second fight without that chip on his shoulder from the trinidad fight he could have beat mosely...i cant complain it turned out to be one of my favorite fights of the past decade

Could they have, yes. Would they have, well never know. They would have had much better chance.

    Mosley almost beat Floyd recently.

where is a time machine when you u need one..lol...imagine if we'd have seen Mayweather Mosely at 135 in 1998-1999...That fight would have rewrote history..maybe would have had a 3 fight series

by winning two rounds and being gun-shy no....but with his speed and power if he was younger had he got Mayweather in trouble like that he may have stopped him....Mosley was a great finisher in his prime
