Why did BHop duck a rematch when Tito was on his knees begging for one?

    Fight wasnt close. Same reason RJJ didnt give BHOP a rematch at the time. That wasnt close either.

    Nah you and the thread starter are both on here defending Tito's honor for him and y'all are both obviously Puerto Rican.

    Look at the poll results and move on to rooting for Cotto, he needs your support more than Tito does!

    "nah" to the rematch? Maybe you havent been reading well my posts. I admit I would've like to see a rematch, but I understand how other people might not feel the same way. The only curious thing to me is that with a Trinidad rematch BHop would've made a lot of money. More than the mandatory defense he had after. But still, I understand if BHop wouldn't have been motivated for the rematch.

    As far as me being puertorican, you're damn right! But I didn't vote in the poll because the option of supporting a rematch includes the ridiculous assumption that Hopkins was afraid of Tito. I don't see any harm in supporting both Tito and Cotto, it comes very easy to me and I don't need to choose one over the other :good

    I was Tito's number one fan which is why I went to see this fight live and I have to say what fight did you watched to make a comment like that?

    PS - They could had fought 1000 times and BHop would had won 1000 times......

    B-Hop was too good for Trinidad any way you slice it. He had a superior skill set, plain and simple. Same as Winky. Neither guy was "too big" for Felix at 160, that's just revisionist nonsense.

    Fact is, Trinidad was very good at what he did, but when you had a versatile fighter with skill who could disrupt his rhythm and timing, he became very ordinary and had no plan B.

    He was VERY good at what he did, but when that didn't work Trinidad was ****ed due to his natural limitations as a fighter.

    Agreed that Oscar didn't belong at 160, but Trinidad more than handled his own there. He maintained his power and speed at that weight. His troubles arose when he fought guys who were better than him.

    What a pile of steaming dog ****!

    Respect to you brother... "Nah" was to that whole post, but thats because I'm looking at the poll results (overwhelmingly against a rematch) and 2 Puertorriqueños in here vehemently arguing the other side.

    I think at that time, Nard was chasing the second Roy Jones fight.. so as far as a payday was concerned, that would have been bigger than a Tito rematch, especially after Tito got dominated in such a thorough fashion.

    Hops doesn't get enough credit. Trinidad would have smashed up Sexio brutally, and had anyone except Hopkins or Monzon been the champ when he moved to 160 Trini would have been considered an ATG MW champ more likely than not. Nard's crafty style isn't appreciated like it should be.

    why did bhop rematch Jones when he had been koed twice and lost some too....he doesnt fight at a dis advantage,,,im sure that has to be a record...fought one time in 93 when ue both 24 and 28 and now you want a rematch post 40....come on
